Lemon Bread

Lemon Bread (JP: LEMON PAN) is an Amalgamate found within the True Lab in Undertale. She is composed of parts from Shyren's agent, Moldbygg, and Aaron.

Profile

Appearance

Lemon Bread seems to have Shyren's agent's body with Aaron's arm-like object on it, and her head and teeth resemble a Moldbygg. Her "eyes" resemble the tip of Aaron's tail.

In the overworld, Lemon Bread takes the form of a vaguely humanoid figure.

Personality

During Lemon Bread's idle animation, her Moldbygg section forms into the jaws of a face, which roars at the protagonist and then promptly shifts back to "normal". This makes her the only Amalgamate to show any form of aggression during an idle animation.

Etymology

Lemon Bread is a reference to Melon Bread from the game Gunstar Heroes, from which her name is derived.

Main story

Before the events of Undertale, Shyren's sister had "fallen down", causing Shyren to isolate herself from others.

True Pacifist Route

Lemon Bread appears in the True Lab, in the room that houses the DT Extraction Machine. She is disguised as a SAVE Point and blocks the protagonist's way past the room. Interacting with her disguised form causes her to reveal herself and attack.

In the epilogue, Lemon Bread can be seen together with her sister. She seems nervous about having Aaron as her new brother, as she claims her "other parts" do not look forward to seeing him.

In battle

Attacks

• Widens the screen and inserts large teeth on the top and bottom, leaving a single safe zone. Bites down quickly.
• Forms a mouth and eyes that trap the SOUL with small teeth, leaving limited room to move, and fires flashing orbs from her eyes, located near the top of the screen.

Relationships

Shyren

Lemon Bread is Shyren's sister. They are reunited at the end of the True Pacifist Route, and Lemon Bread expresses happiness that she can be with her sister again.

Concept art of Lemon Bread shown in the UNDERTALE Art Book reveals she was originally going to include Woshua in addition to Shyren, Aaron, and Moldbygg, with the tail ending in Woshua's tail.

Outside of Undertale

In Deltarune, a gravestone implied to belong to that universe's version of Shyren's agent lists her name as "Shyra". It is unclear whether this is her name in Undertale.
