Oh! One True Love
OH? THAT HUMAN...
COULD IT BE...?
... MY ONE TRUE LOVE?
Oh! One True Love is the 61st track in the UNDERTALE Soundtrack. It plays during the mock opera scene with Mettaton near the end of Hotland.
The entire scene is a parody of the iconic "Aria di Mezzo Carattere" from Final Fantasy VI. As such, this song mimics many of the styles and instrumentation used by Nobuo Uematsu's compositions.
This refers to the text displayed on the screen while this song is playing.
Oh my love
Please run away
Monster King
Forbids your stay
Humans must
Live far apart
Even if
It breaks my heart
They'll put you
In the dungeon
It'll suck
And then you'll die a lot
Really sad
You're gonna die
Cry cry cry
So sad it's happening.
- When Mettaton is singing, the title of the game (visible when playing in windowed mode) changes from "UNDERTALE" to "UNDERTALE the Musical".
- The beginning portion of this track is sped up when refusing to perform with Mettaton.
- The file used for the second portion of the track is repeated in-game, as the first and second stanzas use the same melody.
- On Xbox versions, the lyrics change based on the protagonist's movements.
- In the 10th Anniversary Stream, Toby Fox said that for some reason the code that handles this fails, but inexplicably worked again in the Xbox release.
