Undertale + Deltarune Wiki Moderator. Ask me anything, and I’ll probably answer it.
Hello, can you create a separate page about Undyne the Undying/In Battle please. Just don't tell me that this is not necessary. If there is an article about Undyne/In Battle then there should also be an article about Undyne the Undying/In Battle too. Can you create an article about this please? Alex1999 (talk) 18:40, 10 June 2025 (UTC)
- Everything relating to Undyne the Undying on the Undyne articles was split off into its own page as part of our new pages project. It is unnecessary to further extract the In Battle section to a separate page. In fact, most of what you wrote in your edit was already mentioned elsewhere in the page. - I understand, it was better before anyway. I miss articles on Fandom. Alex1999 (talk) 19:37, 10 June 2025 (UTC)
can you add a page for glitches that are in UNDERTALE like text errors, and stuff? PlayerName (talk) 01:37, 31 July 2025 (UTC)
Would you happen to know if Rabbit Kid referred to as he/him in either Undertale or Deltarune? I want to change the involving text to they/them, but I don't want to do this erroneously in case they are actually he/him in any official material. Trying to go through the Undertale text dump, Deltarune text dump, and the official materials like the Undertale art book and it's a lot to juggle. HylianAngel (talk) 07:02, 11 August 2025 (UTC)
- I don’t think the Rabbit Kid is referred to with any pronouns at least in Undertale. The most I’ve seen is the Rabbit Girl referring to them as a “kid”. I haven’t checked Deltarune, so I don’t know if the same applies there. F-sharp (talk | contribs) 07:38, 11 August 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks, I'm gonna change it to they/them on both wikis then since I can't find any evidence of pronouns in either game. A little while ago, I added a few pronoun sources for Hometown NPC's, but I was similarly unable to find any for Rabbit Kid (I might have just missed them though). The new menu page looks great! And of course the existing pages need to be updated to link to it. But I do have one concern, maybe they should still say "start menu" instead of just "menu" (like here)? Since there's your pause/item menu, battle menu, and shop menus, and I feel the distinction is still important. HylianAngel (talk) 22:35, 11 September 2025 (UTC)
- You raise an interesting point. I think we could move the page to something like “Main Menu” and have “Menu” be a disambiguation page listing all the menus. F-sharp (talk | contribs) 22:42, 11 September 2025 (UTC)
- Main menu could work too! I just wanted to bring it up since just reading "menu" without any adjective in an article could be confusing. Thanks for considering the change! HylianAngel (talk) 22:48, 11 September 2025 (UTC)
I can kinda-sorta understand why the previous quote would be deemed "more representative of their character as a whole" (despite being just a description of them falling into a pit), but what reason do you have to think the Chara on the Genocide Route is "a completely different version of the character"? I'm a bit confused. Clint Barton Fan (talk) 07:59, 11 October 2025 (UTC)
- I know the Chara wiki page takes a more objective stance on the identity of the narrator, but as I understand it, the game implies that Chara is always with us regardless of route, and because of this, we see their memories several times throughout the game and whenever we receive a Game Over. And the only time they choose to directly show themselves is when they are finally brought to the brink by the culmination of the actions of the Genocide Route. They even suggest they've always been there, with the dialogue about how they are "the feeling" whenever you level up (the intro quote you added).
- But still, since they are with us regardless of route, since taking Chara to the end of the Genocide Route is an extreme that sort of permanently "converts" their desire and motivation (almost like corrupting them), and since the character is also revealed like an unexpected twist, I agree that the Genocide Route quote is not as ideal compared to the dialogue you hear for them in every other possible route in the game.
- The Chara we learn about in the other routes is flawed and made several morally questionable decisions, but they are not some sort of fourth-wall-breaking power-desiring entity that the "HP. ATK. DEF. GOLD. EXP. LV." sort of suggests. Well, this "reincarnation" is, or becomes it, but it's very not the norm since you really have to go out of your way to pursue this route. The New Home monster dialogue, where the monsters do have some misconceptions or unknown info about the Chara/Asriel event, feels like a better candidate to me too. HylianAngel (talk) 09:05, 11 October 2025 (UTC)
- The New Home dialogue being more fitting by virtue of being heard in every other possible route in the game is what I meant by "kinda-sorta" understanding why it would be a better candidate.
- ...Frankly I expected to hear something other than the "the Genocide Route is them being corrupted by the player" theory but okay ig. Clint Barton Fan (talk) 09:32, 11 October 2025 (UTC)
- Funny thing is that I had fixed up the Chara article a lot before we forked here, it's still a WIP for the Personality section... but yeah, there's implications scattered around about them being there all along. It's also why I wanted to look more at dialogue/text in-game more, because the parenthesis is used as both a mix of thoughts and whispering for the narration and general dialogue.
- The Neutral Route quote matches with how Chara was overall, just like the article. That's someone calling for help when injured, even though they hated humanity. Calling for help at one's lowest point is recurring for Undertale as a whole too... it's the starting point of the story, and there's cutscenes and dialogue for the scene. — Link [ T | C ] 09:34, 11 October 2025 (UTC)
- Well, it does sort of delve too much into theorycrafting, so of course take my personal feelings with a grain of salt. But it's highly unusual for a character who is always with you like a backpack to only react after taking the Genocide Route to completion. This means they are actively choosing not to reveal themselves until they've witnessed/assisted you with all of the required tasks of the Genocide Route. Corruption might not be the right word, but you made them see reality in a way to cause them to become a creepypasta. They are not a creepypasta in most other scenarios and this aspect of them does not seem like an ideal embodiment of the character. HylianAngel (talk) 09:38, 11 October 2025 (UTC)
You just deleted File:Bepis Skin.png because it was a "personal photo", but how exactly is that a personal photo? Bepis19 (talk) 18:13, 31 January 2026 (UTC)
- We do not allow images that are only used on user pages, or images that are unrelated to Undertale, to be uploaded to the wiki. See Project:Policy for a full list of wiki rules. F-sharp (talk | contribs) 18:54, 31 January 2026 (UTC)
- Also, how do i change my profile picture on this wiki? (for me it's currently a red background with a white B in the middle) Bepis19 (talk) 10:20, 1 February 2026 (UTC)
- To do that, you’ll need to log into Discussions (you’ll need to add or verify your email address if you haven’t already done so). Once you do that, you should see an “Edit profile” button on your user page. This will take you to your Discussions profile settings, in which you can change your profile picture. I was creating the page for the Undertale Art Book, and I uploaded an image to use, only to realize a better image had already been uploaded, leaving the image I was uploading unused. Would you be able to delete it? I wouldn't want pointless images on the wiki. Here's the link: File:UNDERTALE Art Book render.png Volnar The Unforgiving (talk) 15:28, 25 March 2026 (UTC)
- It has been done. F-sharp (talk | contribs) 17:08, 25 March 2026 (UTC)
Hi, sorry if the question sounds stupid i just wanted to know what kind of images i can use for Temmie's article. I'm also a little confused because her page on Fandom wiki seems to use personal images, does this means it's illegal or does Fandom is less strict about fair-use ? Mikeisdefinetlyacat (talk) 03:39, 21 April 2026 (UTC)
- The images from Fandom were from before we forked, and thus, we inherited those images when we did. We have since removed those photos following a decision we made regarding use of unreferenced photos without permission from the author.
- Technically speaking, Temmie Chang, or any other Undertale developer, reserves the right to request the images on Fandom to be removed. Unfortunately, we no longer have any control over what remains or what gets added on Fandom, but it is important to consider the possibility that authors of personal images may not want them to be reuploaded without permission.
- When considering Temmie's images, artwork that is relevant to Undertale is generally safe to upload since that falls under fair use. These need to be properly sourced and attributed on the file page, which is outlined on the file template documentation. F-sharp (talk | contribs) 04:17, 21 April 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks for the response, again i'm really sorry if i sound stupid by asking that. Mikeisdefinetlyacat (talk) 04:48, 21 April 2026 (UTC)
- No worries. If you want, you can try contacting Temmie herself about which images she would find acceptable to represent her on the wiki, though I've personally had no luck with that over the years. KockaAdmiralac (talk) 03:33, 25 April 2026 (UTC)
I apologize, why is Asriel not stated to be the main character, but only the overarching antagonist?
On Asgore's page it is stated that he is the main character and secondary antagonist, why is it not stated that Asriel is also the main character, but only the overarching antagonist, unlike Asgore?
Even on Chara's page it says that they are the main character and Asriel is not, is that fair? Or am I missing something? Alex1999 (talk) 19:20, 10 May 2026 (UTC)
