Temmie "Tuyoki" Chang is a freelance animator and illustrator.[5][6] She is a main artist in Undertale and Deltarune. A monster present in both games is named after her.
Temmie Chang grew up in a suburb[7] when she began drawing on DeviantArt in 2006 and learned pixel art approximatively in 2008.[8][9] The name "Tuyoki" come from her character "Yokii" she made when she was in 6th grade.[10] Her love for JRPGs came from Nippon Ichi Software games where "the main character could swear" and "be a bad person".[11]
The first thing Temmie worked on as an artist was the Momodora series for her friend Rdein.[12] She graduated from the Pratt Institute with a degree in 2D animation.[13][14] She is friends with easynam since 2010[15] and puppiesandanime since 2012.[16]
Temmie began to work on Undertale when Toby Fox sent her a Tumblr DM while she was in college because of a Homestuck fanart, which developped into a long-standing frienship.[17][18] Due to the developpement streching to her senior year, she couldn't contribute as much as the earlier parts of the game.[19] Fortunately, thanks to the success of Undertale, she has been able to pay her student debts.[20]
Temmie is credited as the logo designer, cutscene artist, overworld artist, animator, shop artist, and tile artist. She participated in the conception of the following characters:
- Loox
- Vegetoid (with Toby)
- Papyrus (with Toby, special inspiration by J.N. Wiedle)
- Lesser Dog (with Toby)
- Greater Dog (with Toby)
- Mad Mew Mew (with Toby and Gigi D.G.)
- Undyne (armor only)
- Aaron (reluctantly, as seen in the True Pacifist ending credits)
- Temmie
For the console versions, she illustrated the borders that surround the game[21][22] and illustrated the Undertale story booklet for the UNDERTALE Collector's edition. She also created 2D animations of Mad Mew Mew for the Nintendo Switch release trailer.[23] Lastly, Temmie does the illustrations and pixel art of the Newsletter.

Temmie is a shy and nevous person but was "way worse" before going to college.[31] She likes baking and traveling. Additionally, she is a huge fan of Final Fantasy XIV as well as the Breath of Fire franchise,[32] as demonstrated by the dedicated page on her website and the numerous doodles she draws on her social medias. Temmie has vision problems that forces her to put glasses or contact lenses and suffer from anxiety attacks.[33][34][35]

BUT… since Undertale’s native resolution is displayed in a 4:3 format, we called on original Undertale artist Temmie Chang to create some optional borders that can be turned on to fill the space surrounding the screen.

The PS4 and Vita versions of UNDERTALE will have optional border art by @tuyoki to fill the unused parts of the screen.

(By the way, the animation was by @tuyoki and the rest of the video was put together by @Everdraed ! They really did a great job!)
