Alphys date
Upon reloading or resetting the game following the battle against Omega Flowey, the protagonist is given the option to go on a date with Alphys. Doing this unlocks the True Lab, which continues the quest line for the True Pacifist Route.
The protagonist must first receive Undyne's Letter from Undyne through one of two means:
- If the protagonist has already hung out with Undyne, then upon backtracking out of the CORE into the MTT Resort, they receive a phone call from her directing them to meet her in front of Papyrus and Sans's house in Snowdin Town. The letter is then received there.
- If the protagonist has not yet hung out with Undyne, then upon doing so, they receive the letter immediately following the hangout. If the inventory is full at that point, Undyne relocates to the front of Papyrus and Sans's house as usual.
From there, the protagonist must travel to Hotland's Laboratory Entrance. Upon interacting with the lab door, they are given the option to slide the letter under the door, to which they can respond with "Slide" or "NO!!!!"
Upon delivering Undyne's Letter, Alphys opens the letter and answers the door with the protagonist still in front. Believing the letter to have been written by them, Alphys agrees to initiate a date with them.
The date begins as Alphys is still getting dressed. Once she comes into view, she attempts to give the protagonist presents that she realizes are not suited for them. Forgoing the presents, Alphys formally starts the date.
After a long pause, Alphys hesitantly asks the protagonist if they like anime, to which they can respond with "Yes" or "No". Either choice progresses the date.

After another pause, Alphys decides to take the protagonist to Waterfall's garbage dump. There, she notices Undyne and hides behind a nearby trash can. Undyne then comes into view and asks the protagonist if they have seen Alphys, to which they can respond with "Yeah" or "Nope". Either choice prompts Undyne to leave.
Alphys comes out from the trash can and admits to the protagonist that she has a crush on Undyne. Alphys expresses fear that Undyne may find out the truth about her that she constantly attempts to hide. She then asks the protagonist for advice, to which they can respond with "Tell her the truth" or "Keep lying". Either choice causes Alphys to realize that she will have to tell the truth eventually.
Alphys then asks for advice on how to tell Undyne the truth, to which the protagonist can respond with "Let's Roleplay It" or "Obviously Let's Roleplay". From there, Alphys asks who will roleplay as Undyne:
- If "I'll be Undyne" is chosen, Alphys asks the protagonist, as Undyne, how they are doing, to which the protagonist can respond with "I'm fine." or "YOur cute,". From there, Alphys explains that she has to tell something to the protagonist, to which they can respond with "What is it, Alphys." or "THEN SHe Kisses YOu".
- If "You'll be Undyne" is chosen, Alphys begins roleplaying as Undyne, to which the protagonist can respond with "Hi Undyne! Can we talk? or "Yo your one hot hotbaby". From there, Alphys, as Undyne, inquires what the protagonist, as Alphys, wants to talk to her about, to which the protagonist can respond with "Let's tell Undyne the truth" or "Alphys gives u a kiss,".
The roleplay quickly derails, and Undyne interrupts. Alphys hastily admits to her that she was lying about various things, including that anime was "not real". Undyne responds by throwing Alphys into the trash can and admitting her own feelings. She then encourages Alphys to be happy with who she is and brings in Papyrus to train her.
After Papyrus and Alphys leave, Undyne frantically asks the protagonist if anime is real, to which they can respond with "Anime is Real" or "Anime is not real". On the Nintendo Switch version of Undertale, this choice affects the name of the corresponding border awarded for defeating Mad Mew Mew.
After Undyne leaves, the protagonist finds themself in the garbage dump's landing area, on the bed of golden flowers. When making their way to the Quiet Area, Papyrus calls the protagonist and informs them that he had sent Alphys back to her lab. He then suggests they go there as well before hanging up.
