Wiki!Sans, (/sænz/) also known as Samuel "Sans" Wingding, is one of the alternate versions of Sans. He is a sentient hybrid glitch of Sans and errors in fandom.com's wiki software. He is an unspoken tritagonist and canon character on the Undertale Fandom Wiki, and cannot be removed due to improper .gif rendering and acquiring sentience. Through unorthodox methods, Wiki!Sans is the final boss of the Fork Route.

Profile

Appearance

Wiki!Sans resembles Sans as a pitch black silhouette, and has a tan outline around his body. His distinct facial traits include his eye sockets being inverted to white, and his pupils being black. Wiki!Sans's white teeth become visible when he grins. These features can be seen in pitch black darkness.

Personality

Wiki!Sans is a near-replica of Sans in terms of personality. However, due to being a glitch, Wiki!Sans's dialogue can also be incomplete, have typos, lack punctuation, and rarely, stray Zalgo text. Wiki!Sans also claims aliases of other alternate reality Sans, but only on this article. He can also be 6-7 inches taller than his brother, Wiki!Papyrus.

Wiki!Sans has multiple occupations outside of being in a corrupted .gif. He sells Nice Cream as a vendor in Hotland, and is the "ghost host" of the MTT Resort, where he hosts a quiz show. His show's theme features the unused track, Song That Might Play When You Fight Sans, and his quiz shows are infamously difficult in the Underground. Many monsters comment that none of the provided answers are wholly factually correct, or is irrelevant.

Despite this, Wiki!Sans is an active part of the Undertale community and the FANDOM TV Community, where he is loved for being a major character in the Neutral Route. He is charitable, as he loves to share an unscrewed ketchup bottle and eye paint on a telescope.

In the first encounter, Wiki!Sans greets the protagonist with a joke and asks if they want to have a "bad time". If Wiki!Sans is spared, he rewards the protagonist with a dunk, which automatically kills them and raises their LOVE to 20 and HP to 99.

Wiki!Sans first appeared on the Undertale Fandom Wiki under Sans#Genocide Route in a thumbnail .gif that was uploaded as 4.14 MB by wiki editor GetYourFix on May 17, 2016. Wiki!Sans often appeared to mobile users, and rarely, to select desktop users. In the .gif, Wiki!Sans assumes Sans’s silhouetted position in a corrupted Last Corridor, and where he greets the protagonist.

Inquiry posts about Wiki!Sans were eventually made in the Undertale Fandom Wiki Discussion. Readers commented on his eerie appearance in the Sans article. At the time, there was little the original Undertale Fandom Wiki staff could do to remove him. Thus, Wiki!Sans stayed, perpetually greeting the protagonist and unsettling wiki readers.

On March 26, 2025, there was a community vote posted on both the Undertale and Deltarune Fandom Wikis for the wikis to move off of fandom.com. Voting was complete on April 2, 2025, and many users migrated to undertale.wiki and deltarune.wiki. Their primary reason was a dislike of fandom.com's policies. Particularly, a unanimous dislike for the insurmountable unrelated ADs fandom.com supplies, and the AI supplying misinformation for both Undertale and Deltarune to readers that were not logged in to Fandom.com. Wiki!Sans suddenly became sentient from the mass vandalism and migrations.

Wiki!Sans temporarily gained an article of his own on April 5, 2025 on the Undertale Fandom Wiki. It was removed on April 7, 2025 due to being in the mainspace, but was considered "funny". Wiki!Sans acknowledges this, and has since re-added, updated, and moved his article outside of undertale.wiki's mainspace. This is due to Wiki!Sans wanting readers and editors to know of his history and fandom.com's inconsiderate policies.

Relationships

Wiki!Papyrus

Wiki!Sans cares for Wiki!Papyrus, who is his flamboyant, 6 feet 1 inch tall autistic brother. He has never corrected Wiki!Papyrus for using third person, is considerate of his brother's "picky eating habits", and praises Wiki!Papyrus's extensive knowledge in certain topics.

Wiki!Sans also tries to assist Wiki!Papyrus whenever he can. When Wiki!Papyrus wanted to capture a human to become part of the Royal Guard, he helped prepare puzzles. He also supports Wiki!Papyrus's change of heart when he began having a crush on Wiki!Chara.

Wiki!W.D. Gaster

Wiki!Sans and Wiki!W.D. Gaster were associates that explored the four worlds. He and the goopy, slender figured, black robed Boss Monster had been searching for an older woman who had never returned.

However, Wing Din Gaster's vigilance caused him and Gaster follower 2 to disappear. Wiki!Sans was informed from Gaster follower 3 that lingering too long in the Ruins's red leaves may have been the cause. In spite of Mystery Man's absence, Wiki!Sans pays respects to the Royal Scientist's work, as he routinely activates Hard Mode and Fun Values in Waterfall. He does so by inputting the name Gaster to reload the Main Menu in the Underground.

Wiki!Frisk

Wiki!Sans's opinion varies based on Wiki!Frisk's actions in the Underground, as he is unable to discern their varying age and maturity. If Wiki!Frisk spared Wiki!Papyrus, Wiki!Sans continues to support them in their journey to return to the Surface. When the two spend time at Grillby's for lunch, Wiki!Sans had offered Wiki!Frisk a pair of glasses for their myopia, though Wiki!Frisk had declined it as the glasses reminded them of "someone" else.

Wiki!Chara

Wiki!Sans only knows of Wiki!Chara through them also traversing through alternate "fanon AUs", some of which are FramnTale, UnderTron, FoilTale, ApocalypseTale, and GummyTale. He is largely distrusting of the "beacon of hope", who is capable of taking full possession of the protagonist if they choose to stay with Wiki!Toriel.

Wiki!Kris

Wiki!Sans learned of Wiki!Kris through Wiki!Octavia, as Wiki!Octavia praised them for their shared love of moss. Knowing that Wiki!Kris's Delta Rune status as the probable Hero of Light could improve viewership, he invites Wiki!Kris to be a contestant to a special edition of TV TIme, which is a collaboration with Wiki!Tenna.

When the show had gone astray from Wiki!King's ambush, Wiki!Sans had cheered for Wiki!Kris to support them. This encouraged Wiki!Kris to brake free from an "unknown sinister force" to protect Wiki!Suzy from Wiki!King Asgore Dreemurr's attack.

Wiki!Ralsei

Wiki!Sans inadvertently learned of Wiki!Ralsei while meeting Wiki!Kris. He is polite to the thirteen to fourteen-year old Prince of the Dark, as the Lightner enjoys making new friends. Wiki!Sans also respects Wiki!Ralsei's "signature catch phrase", which causes other monsters in the area to also be kind in return.
