Undertale Wiki:Staff
Staff of the Undertale Wiki are trusted users with elevated user rights that allow them to perform additional maintenance on the wiki and keep everything in order. On this page, you can see the staff user groups, what they do, and who is in them.
Do you want to apply for a moderator or administrator? Please read the application prerequisites, send us an application, and we'll review it.
Do you need to contact any local wiki staff members? Best way to do so is the Discord server, or by messaging the staff group in Discussions.
Moderators
Moderators are users granted the ability to moderate wiki content. They are tasked with enforcing the wiki's content standards, so in case of any doubts about how something should be written, whether a piece of information is noteworthy, which page should an edit go to and similar, you can contact them. They are one level below administrators in what they can do, and their tool set includes:
- deleting pages,
- patrolling revisions, and
- protecting pages.

Discussions moderators
Discussions moderators have rights to moderate Discussions. This right is currently given to administrators of Deltarune Wiki who aren't administrators on Undertale Wiki so they can have proper rights to moderate Discussions (which are tied to Undertale Wiki), but might have a separate application form in the future.

Administrators
Administrators are the local user group with the biggest tool set, one level higher than moderators. They are tasked with enforcing the wiki policy, handling cases like misbehaving users, vandalism, content disputes, and conflict resolution. In addition to moderator privileges, this group gives users permissions such as:
- blocking and unblocking users,
- viewing IP addresses of temporary users (but not logged-in users),
- moderating Discussions,
- managing abuse filters,
- viewing the wiki's analytics (aggregated, non-personal information),
- protecting the whole wiki,
- editing the global interwiki table,
- promoting moderators,
- editing interface messages, and
- changing the wiki's theme.

Bureaucrats
Bureaucrats are users who can promote and demote administrators. They do not have any other privileges, so this role is usually coupled with the administrator role. Given the sensitive privilege they are given, there shouldn't usually be more than one on the wiki. This wiki's active bureaucrat is Virgalyssa.

Infrastructure team
Infrastructure team consists of users who maintain the infrastructure for all wikis on the Undertale/Deltarune wiki network. Formally, they comprise the Undertale/Deltarune Wiki unincorporated association. They are tasked with wiki setup, Terms of Service enforcement, data protection in accordance with the Privacy Policy, and generally have access to the most sensitive tools available, such as:
- approving OAuth consumers,
- viewing IP addresses of logged-in users,
- blocking users from all wikis,
- viewing private user details in Discussions,
- renaming users,
- managing global abuse filters,
- hiding revisions and log actions from public view, and
- assigning all other user groups.
