Intro
Prologue
Long ago, two races ruled over the Earth: Humans and monsters. One day, war broke out between the 2 races. After a long battle, the humans were victorious. They sealed the monsters underground with a magic spell.
100 years later...
MT. EBOTT
2022
Your friend dared you to climb this mountain. It seemed pretty easy, so you did it for fun. While you were climbing, however, you see a very large hole in the ground that leads to a cave. You stare down into the hole, and your foot trips on a vine that was on the ground. You fall down into the cave. As soon as you hit the ground, you fall unconscious.
You wake up. You see yellow flowers under you, and realize they broke your fall, and saved your life. The cave is far too deep for you to be able climb back up, so you go deeper in the cave. As you walk through, you see a patch of grass with a flower on it. The flower has a face, and talks to you.

"Howdy! I'm Flowey. Flowey the flower! Hmmm... Your new to the underground, aren't you? Golly, you must be so confused. Someone should teach you how things work around here! I guess little old me will have to do! Ready? Here we go!" Small pellets appear around Flowey. "These are called friendliness pellets. Are you ready? Move around! Get as many as you can!" The pellets fly towards you, and you try to grab them. However, they are sharp and they cut your hand. "You idiot. In this world, it's kill or be killed. Why would anyone pass up an opportunity like this?!?" A million pellets appear all around you. "Die." The pellets close in, and you can't escape them. It looks like this is the end.

But then, a fireball comes and hits Flowey, knocking him away. The pellets disappear. Then, a monster walks up to you.

"What a terrible creature, torturing such a poor, innocent youth... Ah, do not be afraid, my child. I am Toriel, caretaker of the ruins. I pass through this place every day to see if anyone has fallen down. You are the first human to come here in a long time. Come! I will guide you through the catacombs. This way." Toriel walks further into the cave, and you follow her.
You arrive in a large purple castle, but it looks very old and worn down. "As a human living in the underground, monsters may attack you. You will need to be prepared for this situation. However, worry not! The process is simple. When you encounter a monster, you will enter a fight. While you are in a fight, strike up a friendly conversation. Stall for time. I will come and resolve the conflict. Practice talking to Dummy." You see a training dummy nearby, so you walk up to it as Toriel instructed.
You encountered Dummy.

You talk to Dummy.
…
He doesn't seem much for conversation.
Toriel seems happy with you.
"Ah, very good! You are very good." Toriel then leaves the room, and you leave the dummy behind.
In the next room, you see a path leading to a lot of spikes. "There is a puzzle in this room... I wonder if you can solve it?" Toriel walks along the path and towards the spikes. You see a sign near the spikes that reads: "The first room is the next rooms blueprint." You continue following Toriel until she gets to the spikes. "This is the puzzle, but... Here, take my hand for a moment." You grab Toriel's hand and she leads you through the spikes, which disappear when you walk on them. You notice that you walked in the same shape as the path in the first room. "Puzzles seem a little too dangerous for now. I must attend to some business, and you must stay alone for a while. Please remain here. It's dangerous to explore by yourself. Be good, alright?" Toriel leaves you. You do what she says and sit in the room for a while. However, you get bored and decide to keep going in the Ruins.

In the next room...
Froggit attacks you!
You compliment it.
Froggit didn't understand what you said, but was flattered anyway.
It leaves you be.
The room was empty besides Froggit, so you go into the next room.
The next room contains a bridge with spikes on it, and 3 pressure plates with 3 rocks next them. You push a rock to a pressure plate, then push the second one to a pressure plate. But the 3rd one won't move. "Whoa there, partner! Who said you could push me around?" You ask the rock politely to move over. "Hmm? So your asking me to move over? Okay, just for you, pumpkin." He moves towards the pressure plate, but he stops before he reaches it. You politely ask him to move again. "Hmm? You want me to move some more? Alrighty, how's this?" He moves the wrong direction. You politely tell him he moved in the wrong direction. "Hmm? That was the wrong direction? Okay, I think I got it." He moves onto the pressure plate, and the spikes on the bridge go away. You walk over to the bridge so you can get to the next room, but then the rock moves off the pressure plate, and the spikes go back up. You politely ask him to go back on the pressure plate. "Hmm? You wanted me to stay there? Your giving me a real workout." He moves back onto the pressure plate, and you walk across the spike less bridge. "Aren't things easier when you just ask?" The rock says as you enter the next room.

The next room contains a ghost just lying on the floor. You walk up to him. "Zzzzz... Zzzzz... Zzzzz... (Is it gone yet?) Zzzzz..." He keeps saying "Z" out loud repeatedly, pretending to sleep. However, he realizes your not going to leave, and stands up.
Here comes Napstablook.

You gave Napstablook a patient smile.
"Heh..."
Napstablook looks just a little bit better.
You told Napstablook a little joke.
"Heh heh..."
Cheering seems to have improved Napstablook's mood again.
Napstablook wants to show you something.
"Let me try..."
He cries, and his tears fly upwards, forming a hat on his head.
"I call it Dapper Blook. Do you like it..."
Napstablook eagerly awaits your response.
You tell him it looks nice.
"Oh gee..."
"I usually come to the Ruins because there's nobody around... But today I met somebody nice... Oh, I'm rambling again. I'll get out of your way." He disappears, and you move on to the next room.
In the room, there are a lot of spider webs. You see a sign that says "Spider Bake Sale! All proceeds go to real spiders." You go up to a web and leave some pennies in it. Some spiders crawl down and give you a donut. You put the donut in your pocket.

In the next room...
Whimsun approached meekly!
You try to talk to Whimsun, but halfway through your first word, he bursts into tears and runs away.
The room was empty besides Whimsun, so you go into the next room.
"Oh dear, that took longer than I thought it would." You hear Toriel in the room, but don't see her until she walks from the next room into the room your in. She notices you are there. "How did you get here, my child? I should not have left you alone for so long. It was irresponsible to try to surprise you like this. Well, I suppose I cannot hide it any longer. Come, small one!" Toriel walks into the next room, and you follow her.
The next room is a cozy house. "Do you smell that? Surprise! It is a cinnamon pie. I thought we might celebrate your arrival. I want you to have a nice time living here, so I will hold off on snail pie for tonight. Here, I have another surprise for you." Toriel walks further into her house, and you follow her.
She leads you to a door. "This is it... A room of your own. I hope you like it!" You smell burning cinnamon pie. "Is something burning...? Um, make yourself at home!" Toriel runs over to the kitchen.
You go into the door and see a cozy room. It has a bed, a lamp, and a closet full of clothes. You turn off the lamp and go to bed. When you wake up, there is a slice of cinnamon pie on the ground next to your bed. You pick it up and eat it. It tastes delicious. You go out of your room to see where Toriel is.
You find her in the living room reading a book. "Up already, I see? Um, I want you to know how glad I am to have someone here. There are so many old books I want to share. I want to show you my favorite bug hunting spot. I've also prepared a curriculum for your education. This may come as a surprise to you, but I have always wanted to be a teacher. Actually, perhaps that isn't very surprising. STILL. I am glad to have you living here. Oh, did you want something? What is it?" You ask her when you can go home. "What? This... This IS your home now. Um... Would you like to hear about this book I am reading? It is called 72 Uses For Snails. How about it?" You ask her how to exit the Ruins. "Um... How about an exciting snail fact? Did you know that snails make terrible shoelaces? Interesting." You ask her how to exit the Ruins again. "...I have to do something. Stay here." She goes downstairs and into the basement. You follow her.
The basement is just a really long hallway. You walk along it until you find Toriel. "You wish to return home, do you not? Ahead of us lies the end of the Ruins. A one way exit to the rest of the underground. I am going to destroy it. No one will ever be able to leave again. Now be a good child and go upstairs."
She walks further down the hall. You follow her. "Every human that falls down here meets the same fate. I have seen it again and again.
They come.
They leave.
They die.
You naïve child... If you leave the Ruins... They... Asgore... Will kill you. I am only protecting you, do you understand? Go to your room."
She walks even further down the hall. You can see a large door from here. "Do not try to stop me. This is your final warning."

She walks up to the door. You stand right behind her. "You want to leave so badly? You are just like the others. There is only one solution to this. Prove to me you are strong enough to survive."
Toriel blocks the way!

You tell Toriel you don't want to fight.

Toriel prepares a magical attack.
You tell Toriel you don't want to fight.

You tell Toriel you don't want to fight.

You tell Toriel you don't want to fight.

You tell Toriel you don't want to fight.
"We can have a good life here."
You tell Toriel you don't want to fight.
"Why are you making this so difficult?"
You tell Toriel you don't want to fight.
"Please, go upstairs."
You beg Toriel to let you leave.
"Ha ha..."
You beg Toriel to let you leave.
"Pathetic, is it not? I cannot save even a single child."
You tell Toriel that you will be fine out there alone.
"No, I understand. You would just be unhappy trapped down here. The Ruins are very small once you get used to them. It would not be right for you to grow up in a place like this.
My expectations...
My loneliness...
My fear...
For you, my child... I will put them aside.
If you truly wish to leave the Ruins, I will not stop you. However, when you leave, please do not come back. I hope you understand." She gives you a big hug. "Goodbye, my child." She walks back up to her home. You open the door that leads out of the Ruins. It leads to a long hallway.

You walk along the hall until you reach the end. You see a familiar face:
"Clever. Very clever. You think your really smart, don't you? In this world, it's kill or be killed. So you were able to play by your own rules. You spared the life of everyone in the Ruins. "Your not too nice, are you? No. Your a murderer. Just like me. In fact, Your kind of strange, right? You killed that old woman, but left some monster behind that you never killed. Listen. Just because some monsters made it out of this alive doesn't make you free from sin. But I know what you did. You killed someone. Now you will have to decide who gets to live and who gets to die. You seem to enjoy that, so I'll leave you to it."
Then he goes down into the ground.
You walk out of the Ruins.
NEXT WORLD
1.2.3.1
You enter a snowy forest with a path leading through the trees. You walk along the path. You hear twigs snapping and footsteps behind you, but your too scared to look back. Eventually, you make it to a bridge with a giant gate. You can't get through, and the footsteps sound like they are right behind you. They stop, and you assume the person is right behind you.
"Human, don't you know how to greet a new pal? Turn around and shake my hand."
You turn around with your eyes closed, and shake his hand.
It makes fart noises, so you open your eyes to see:

"The old whoopee cushion in the hand trick. It's always funny. Anyways, your a human, right? That's hilarious. I'm Sans. Sans the skeleton. I'm actually supposed to be on watch for humans right now. But... You know... I don't really care about capturing anybody. Now my brother, Papyrus... He's a human hunting fanatic. Hey, actually, I think that's him over there. I have an idea. Go through this gate thingy. I got the key." He hands you a key and you unlock the gate. You and Sans walk through the gate and come into a clearing.
"Quick, behind that lamp." You walk behind a lamp in the middle of the clearing.

Then Papyrus walks in.
"Sup bro." Sans says.
"You know what's up, brother! It's been 8 days and you still haven't...
Recalibrated.
Your.
Puzzles!
You just hang around outside your station! What are you even doing?!?"
"Staring at this lamp. It's really cool. Do you wanna look?"
"No!!! I don't have time for that!!! What if a human comes through here!?! I want to be ready!!!
I will be the one!
I must be the one!
I will capture a human!
Then, I, the great Papyrus... Will get all the things I utterly deserve!
Respect...
Recognition...
I will finally be able to join the royal guard! People will ask, to, be my, friend? I will bathe in a shower of kisses every morning."
"Maybe this lamp will help you."
"Sans!!! You are not helping!!! You lazybones!!! All you do is sit and bonedoggle! You get lazier and lazier every day!!!"
"Hey, take it easy. I've gotten a ton of work done to today.
A skeleton. XD"
"Sans!!! Why are using that face again? It's not proper grammar!!!"
"Come on. It's funny."
"It is and I hate it! Why does someone as great as me... Have to do so much just to get some recognition..."
"Sounds like your really working yourself... Down to the bone. XD"
"STOP IT!!! I will attend to my puzzles... As for your work? Put a little more, backbone into it!!!"
Then Papyrus walks out of the clearing and into the forest ahead.
"Okay, you can come out now."
You walk out from behind the lamp, questioning how Papyrus didn't see you.
"You should get going. He might come back. And if he does... You'll have to sit through more of my hilarious jokes. XD"
You follow Papyrus, as it's the only way you can go.
