Manual of Style: Standardization Project

Yeah I found that already, IDK how I didn’t see it, but I found it, still thanks though.

“Cameos” has renamed to Outside of Undertale/Deltarune, we already got that done and added in the page organization across both wikis.

Right now, we currently have a discussion on spacing for Items in Deltarune, which if implemented, will likely have many of the spaced names changed into redirects. Please voice your opinion, as it’d help with the move!

We still need opinions for moving pages to their most-used names instead of their full names:

Nice.

Deltarune item name formatting was largely in favor of stepping away from conjectural names, so articles can now be moved and renamed! Be sure to leave the original spaced names as redirects, and watch out for any Tobycased/Tobyspaced names!

After the main pages were moved, I went through the list using the search function to seek out instances of each name that the bot and other editors have missed in the Category, Map, Template, and File namespaces.

Thanks again! Really appreciate that you’ve even taken the time to check through the maps, and corrected the file descriptions.

Here's some current updates:

The Manual of Style's article content header has been updated for more clarity, with suggestions from EvieMaybe on sentence case and singular title. I've already added item names for clarity as well, and mentioned omitting grammatical contractions.

Moving character pages from full names to first names has concluded. As of April 14, all characters except Rouxls Kaard now have their first/commonly used names as their main URL. As an example, Deltarune's Dess and Undertale's Asriel are now at:

https://deltarune.wiki/w/Dess
https://undertale.wiki/w/Asriel

Big thanks to @WitheredFreddy1993 for helping with the mass standardizing!

He, F-sharp, and some other editors have been working on New Pages Project: NPC pages, which is getting close to done! It's only Hometown/NPCs and Undertale Wiki moves at this point, and I'd recommend anyone else try to help wrap this up and earn the Malius badges!

Water those

Inconsistent casing or spacing. We've discovered Toby's been doing this since Undertale.

Sounds like something Toby would do

Why did Chara make Toby do that

sorry to necro, but i assume this project is still in progress? i renamed "Ball Machine" and standardised all main pages and files for correct casing, as well as renaming "Stats", but i'm not sure what is meant by redirect fixes in the case of singular titles (i probably shouldn't have done that without asking for clarification first, sorry)

This project should have wrapped up by now, sorry, but you can still contribute to standardisation on the wiki!
Thanks for fixing those btw :ralseiclap:

Actually this thread isn't done! I got backlogged due to me not being able to update my post for some reason, and a mix of some heavy real-life stuff going on. I still don't know what caused the former, but I can edit and update it tomorrow!

:ralseiclap: :+1:

I think you meant "Items" instead of "Stats", I don't think Stats should be renamed since it's in a similar situation to Leitmotifs or Unused music tracks. Thank you!

A few of the section names in the new Chapter 5 pages still had title case

Can someone look through the new pages to check the rest of the style guide updates, please?

I think I got the remaining ones.

A few of the new NPC pages from the Undertale Wiki project use the old guidelines too, some of which I updated
