guys can we try not to quotechain ryker's post?
Ryker, question for you- who are the rulers of this land?
which land
actually
tell us the ENTIRE politics of this whole thing
and if possible the political history
The age of empires in the east has long ended. Regantium and Calantor have centuries of history as independent nations. While it's unclear when the divide truly happened — it was an event that took place over a few centuries — scholars agree that the three major powers have at least four centuries of full, citable independence.
The deities... prefer not to speak. They exist in their own space.
Fiction based in truth. Again, the creation story for the universe is the same as ours. Magic and deities just so happened to appear without an explainable reason.
Hell yeah Big Bang
Peak lore
The rulers of the three eastern powers are kings and queens. Monarchies. Regantium has a single royal family — the Vaetium family. Calantor and Renthos also have a main, ruling monarch with executive power, but they also have separate regions with their own monarchs controlling them.
Nippaka has no set ruler, though those who are objectively smarter are respected more in decision-making.
Flonia is a democracy, electing a leader for each island. There is no set leader controlling the whole country.
Leigh is a democracy. Instead of one head of the country, they elect a council to control the country. They also make sure that members of the council often have opposing views, to allow for more unbiased decision-making.
Boantia is a democracy. There is one head of the country. While there are separate regions, they do not have individual leaders.
Kantua... well now, that's a dictatorship. A very strict one. I'll say right now, there will be quite a few decisions in the game to make about this place.
Peakity peak
Absolute cinema
I can give you some important info, but not all of it.
To start, there have been no wars in two centuries, save for the Kantuan civil war that led to it becoming a dictatorship.
Flonia was originally much more populated, but... well, the eastern continent is based on west Europe. What do you think happened to the island nations?
Flonia is also relatively new. It used to be just a bunch of independent islands, and they still are, but they present themselves as a nation (which they technically are!) for more bargaining power. The choice to combine was only made roughly 150 years ago.
Nippaka is much older, having records going back roughly seven centuries. Nippaka is verifiably seven centuries old, but some records from roughly six centuries ago state that there were elders who were upwards of 100 years old who had lived their whole lives in Nippaka, and some of the records state that those centenarians had met other centenarians when they were young, and those elders also claimed that they had lived in Nippaka their whole lives. The Renthosian Empire lasted for roughly 1200 years, to put it into context. So, the history of Nippaka goes back anywhere from seven centuries ago to a millennium and a half ago.
