Out of curiosity

How did the fandom gaslight themselves I to thinking that Megalo Strike Back was Chara’s battle theme?

Yes I’m still obsessed with that song even after a two-month break

Wait
they did
WHAT
now?!

Yep. Look up Megalo strike back and almost everything you see says “Megalo Strike Back (Chara Battle Theme)” for some reason

Is "megalo strikes back" not a fanmade soundtrack?
Golly, people can be really silly sometimes... :floweywink:

I think it got popularized by the Dreemurr Reborn animation of a Chara battle back in 2015 - 2016, I think? Megalo Strikes Back happens to be a track Toby made for the I Miss You - EarthBound 2012 fan album.

I happen to know this because I got that album from another EarthBound friend back when it was released, so I recognized the song right away. Still think it’s funny that it got a lot of traction and got associated with Chara too!

Toby made it for the 2012 earthbound fan album “I miss you”

I looked it up, and it's not fanmade, Toby “stop calling me Radiation” “tricky Tony” “Radiation” Fox did make it, but it's certainly not Undertale OST

So fanmade but for a different game.

Technically, but it’s a fanmade track made by Tobias foxerton himself

For Earthbound...?

Yes

So it still is not canon...?

Is is not related to Undertale canon at all

So fandom really screwed up

Yup

No? It’s by toby, just not related to undertale at all. What rock’ve you been under???

I know. That was my point.

So
It’s not fandmade.
Get off the high horse.

It's fanmade for Earthbound, not UNDERTALE.

which is irrelevant to the conversation, talking about why it’s headcanoned as chara’s theme. it’s not a fanmade song, like you implied, and now you’re backtracking.
Please, shut up. Quit it with the entitlement.
