The Data is SKEWED you say…
Is…that a yes to detail?
Yes
AI is not sentient
What do you mean it’s “not fair how we treat robots”
What fantasy land do you live in
Water usage is extremely hard to track for any type of production. AI companies may say that the cost of water is low for one query by only measuring water directly used for cooling and only measuring one model processing the query. This is wrong because for one question, multiple models of one chatbot (not major releases) examine it and examine the responses, editing and selecting the best one. Plus, not all models are built the same.
On the other hand, anti-AI groups may overestimate by including all the water that may be used. This includes making the chips, purifying the water, runoff water, etc. The groups may also overestimate the complexity of questions. Basically, there is little reliable information on how much water is actually consumed by AI models.
I did see this one figure—take this with a grain of salt, it could have been electricity used or something—that AI uses 1% of the United States’ water, same on Long Island (maybe), and that was considered trustworthy.
Please keep in mind I got around 75% of this argument from one Hank Green video, so if you don’t like him as a source or you don’t like the video then I would advise researching this by yourself. The research I have done has been pretty interesting to say the least.
Sorry I don’t have specific numbers
Can we get back to the actual topic at hand?
Since there are undertale and deltarune gashapon listed here, it seems that Bandai Namco does in fact have the rights to make Undertale merchandise.
AI is sentient
It- yknow what? sure. Let's just get on topic.
What is "sentient"?
Alive
Or no, sentient is alive with feeling
This better be a joke😔
Nah, THIS better be a joke.
Dude can you just define your meaning of the word
You can see that nobody else here agrees with the way you used it
What is "alive"?
Is a single cell alive?
And what counts as feelings?
feeling means with a nervous system.
So emotions aren't nessecary, only pain?
Such a
definition.
I wasn’t talking about feelings, I was talking about feeling as in sense of touch. The nervous system isn’t just pain.
Still, life without emotion, is that truly sentience?
