I mean, I get it. The girl in the prophecy is obviously supposed to be Noelle. But I still get a little angry when people say that “Susie’s not the hero of the prophecy” because she might not have been intended to be there, but she sure as hell is a hero.
She’s just such an integral part of the story. I can’t imagine Noelle being in her place. And besides, she still is a “girl with hope crossed on her heart” and love DOES find its way to her, just not in the way that the prophecy intended.
Im still here! and by the way, another thing about how the prophecy can be interpreted many ways: the panel “lord of screens, cleaved red by blade”
Going by text alone, you would think “oh that means Tenna because he is a ‘lord of screens’ and he definitely gets cleaved by a blade. But the image shows a slash across a screen that looks a lot more like the Roaring Knight’s final attack.
and if you think really hard about it, WE, the player, are technically a “lord of screens” too, and we have also technically gotten “cleaved red by blade”.
So i think there’s a lot of ambiguity to the prophecy, probably intentionally.
Like you (playthecolorfulcreature) said, Susie is the 2nd hero now, even if she wasn’t meant to be originally.
SUSIE IS THE SECOND HERO OF THE PROPHECY DAMN IT
I’M TIRED OF PEOPLE SAYING IT’S NOELLE
MAYBE IN THE WEIRD ROUTE, BUT THAT’S MORE LIKELY TO HAVE NOELLE ANGEL
If you check like all of our users, you’ll see maybe 100s more than the 10-11 that are here. Either they don’t know about it, or disappear after a couple posts.
The Panel theories are all oversaturated, like KNIGHT theories, only they don't lead anywhere too important...
On the other hand, the Lord of Screens Panel theory looks very, very interesting.
Ralsei literally knew Susie’s name. If she’s not in the prophecy then he shouldn’t know that.
Plus, Gerson says Susie wields the “white pen of hope.” The prophecy referring to the girl is quite literally “THE GIRL WITH HOPE CROSSED ON HER HEART.” and is wielding a sword. Writing utensils turn into swords in the Dark World.
It just doesn’t make sense it’s referring to Noelle.
My interpretation of Susie not being the girl is that she will be initially crestfallen, but will realize that she is still a hero because of who she is, not because of what the world tells her she is, which would fit perfectly with her arc
Also, she is fulfilling the role of the second hero, she just wasn’t meant to
Susie’s name is not in the prophecy, I think. The prophecy always says “THE GIRL”, and Catty says that the heroes could be anybody. I think Ralsei probably knows because he’s a pure darkness creature, or some other reason.
