History of snd_mike_reset

In the Undertale Demo, this song was unused in the code with the name of grandpasemi.

In Undertale v1.00, this song was still unused in the code with the name of grandpasemi.

In Undertale v1.001, this song was renamed to grandpatemi, and it was used when refusing to give Temmie Flakes to Temmie.

In Deltarune Chapter 4, it features under the name of snd_mike_reset and is used when resetting the score of Mike's minigames.

How much of this history should feature in https://deltarune.wiki/w/Hidden_Music_Tracks, under snd_mike_reset?

I think all of it. Maybe add this information to the Undertale wiki too?

I believe we should only document the information that is relevant to Deltarune on the Deltarune Wiki page. Anything relevant to Undertale should be (and should already be) documented on Undertale wiki.

But shouldn't we at least mention that the song originally came from Undertale?

We already do mention it on the page.

See, what he said!

Yes but there has been some contention recently on exactly what form should this mention possess:

Originally featured in Undertale as grandpasemi, this sound effect resembling Metal Crusher plays when resetting the high scores in Mike's minigames.

Originally featured in Undertale as grandpatemi, which plays when refusing Temmie the Temmie Flakes, this sound effect resembling Metal Crusher reappears in Deltarune when resetting the high scores in Mike's minigames.

Featured as a hidden song in Undertale when refusing refusing Temmie the Temmie Flakes, this sound effect resembling Metal Crusher reappears in Deltarune when resetting the high scores in Mike's minigames.

I think the most recent version is the most accurate way to describe the reference while also staying relevant to Deltarune.

I would rather have something that emphasizes the Deltarune usage as the first statement in the paragraph, with other misc trivia being thrown in after that.

So something like this:

Plays when resetting the high scores in the Mike Minigames. This track is also present in Undertale as grandpasemi.

If the reader wants more detail than that, they can go read the section about grandpasemi on the Undertale wiki. (But it should be named so that they know which section they're going to. Hell, just stating the name outright is better than stating it's a hidden track in Undertale.)

1st one. Or just
Originally featured in Undertale as grandpasemi, later reused as grandpatemi, which plays when refusing to give Temmie the Temmie flakes, this sound effect resembling Metal Crusher (or alternative is "using Metal Crusher's leitmotif") reappears in Deltarune when resetting the high scores in Mike's minigames.

i dislike wording saying that it "originally" appeared as grandpasemi when it actually appeared "as an accidental leftover in the demo files" and i don't know how we could explain that on the drw without being 1. overly wordy and therefore 2. including irrelevant info

changed it to the last one. i think it's simple but fine
