Yep you are, just like the entire community that thinks that the infamous easter egg W. D. Gaster is important somehow to the plot or backstory of both games while He is just a piece of nothingness that was pulverized into the multiverse of space and time.

I always imagined it was because Toby tried to draw an alternate version of Ice E that was a snowman but it ended up looking fucked like this so he called it a nightmare and put it in the game as an easter egg

Mystery man is clearly Gaster, and Gaster clearly means something to Deltarune
I’ve already talked about mystery man on this website and I don’t want to do it again
As for the other thing, off the top of my head, there was prophecy stuff in wingdings on the Deltarune website, the voice talks like Gaster (it has spaced out, all caps text and I believe it even says “VERY VERY,”) Gaster did an experiment involving darkness, Seam says “darker yet darker” in relation to Jevil going insane which is a quote from Gaster, ANOTHER HIM sounds like Gaster’s theme which is called “him” in the files, the knight has holes in its hands just like mystery man (which, if you don’t think mystery man is Gaster, makes no sense at all, by the way), and the audio from Entry 17 is used in Deltarune in relation to darkness

As “proofed” by the Knight’s similarities to Titans, the lasers the titan fires could be an equivalent to PSI Starstorm Ω that the Knight uses.
