I think he'll get a solo fight against the Blue Flower in Chapter 5 which will close off his identity crisis arc, but I have no idea what other relevance or development he could get for the rest of the game.
A lot of people (mostly Kralsei fan artists I feel) think he'll get a Pinocchio "I'm a real boy now!" moment and will go into the Light World, but I really can't see that happening. It just skips the whole dilemma of Darkners are "less real" beings and how that could relate to us and how we interact with fiction. Unless the Dark and Light Worlds fuse entirely somehow which would be crazy, but I also don't think that's gonna happen.
Right now, the happiest end I could see for him is him fusing with either Susie or Kris (Green Kris true) permanently. This would represent how creative works can influence the real world by if you let them become part of you, which is basically the Wind Fish's lesson in LoZ: Link's Awakening (which the man also references in dialogue).

Spamton tried to take the heroes's souls in chapter 2 so I'm just assuming darkners can fuse with lightners. But Spamton could've just been a lunatic too.

Y'know what yeah that's true.
But Ralsei is a pretty weird darkner in the first place so I don't discount that for him.
Coffee is pretty much one of my favourite characters ever. They're also a bit like Kris, since we are not actually playing as either of them and just control their bodies for a bit... huh
If I had a nickle for every time I was playing as an entity possessing the body of the protagonist and said protagonist was my favourite character from that game, I'd have 2 nickles. Which isn't a lot, but it is weird that it happened twice.
Wait Coffee is the PROTAGONIST in the game they come from? Neat. I mostly know them from FNaF World but I knew they came from another game.
yeah The Desolate Hope is pretty crazy (and kinda epilepsy inducing so probably not safe to play for everyone).
Funny thing, the story in TDH has you go into basically dream realms of 4 robots to try and fight off a virus that's sapping their energy, which is also more or less how Dark Worlds are I guess?
and in these realms you can find glitch rooms to get hidden upgrades, like the eggs.
I should stop talking about this game before it gets out of hand.
