Weird spacial quirks

Has anybody else noticed how, in the Dark World, background elements (like the Dark Fountain, castles in the background) seem to be distant, but then you move a bit to the right and it's just right there?
It seems to me that the Dark World has odd laws of space, such that typical RPG progress (AKA moving to the right) arbitrarily moves you closer to your goal.

any theorypasta makers out there, do with this what you will

TELEPORTATION

YES! I DO, ACTUALLY

Like Card Castle's top or Queen's Mansion's top (specifically the Queen arena because I think the fountain is in its background)

dont we go in elevators tho

No I mean like at the King arena the dark fountain is in the background but you go to the literal next room to the right and there it is

I think every room is like the Forgotten Man's.
Like, it has more space :mysteryman: inbetween but we only see the rooms we see.
That's what makes the Man's rooms so cryptical, because we see them(1/10 chance) and interact unlike the remaining :mysteryman: inbetween spaces.

Here's everywhere I can think of that this applies:

  • The last approach to the Card Castle
  • Ch1 Fountain, in the background during the King fight but is approached from the right somehow
  • Ch2 Fountain, same situation as above
  • Ch3 Fountain, same situation as above
  • Flower Castle, seen from the Cliffs but you go to the right to get there I think

Ok yea this is a good thought

this is also true

cause some rooms (in the code) are in the wrong order

with some random rooms in between
