Theory: The prophecy doesn’t refer to Kris

As I was playing chapter four today, I saw the “the cage, with human soul and parts” prophecy panel, and I got to thinking about that. I don’t think this panel refers to Kris at all. I think it refers to the Vessel. The panel doesn’t say that it’s a human, it says it’s a cage with human soul and parts. The vessel isn’t human, it’s a container for the soul that has human parts. This is also why Kris being an antagonist doesn’t break the prophecy, because it doesn’t refer to them at all.

Anyways, that’s my interpretation of this prophecy. What do you[1] think?

the prophecy doesn't specifically name anyone except jockington. it's very ripe ground for theorising

what if its the same thing as susie second hero?

What if kris wasn't MEANT to be the first hero, but they still fit the criteria and thus they still are?

If we're doing this, then the 3rd Hero is Lancer, he's a prince alone(neglected by his dad and has no real friends before Susie) in deepest dark(dark fountain)

Yes, Kris and the Roaring Knight are different people. “THE KNIGHT WHICH MAKES WITH BLACKENED KNIFE” and “THE CAGE, WITH HUMAN SOUL AND PARTS” are also different people.

You would think that Kris is “THE CAGE, WITH HUMAN SOUL AND PARTS”, and that the Roaring Knight is “THE KNIGHT WHICH MAKES WITH BLACKENED KNIFE”, but the hands depicted in the panels beg to differ.

We can't say that while we know nothing of the Knight's motivations.

a monster:this could refer to any monster. a human: sans is a dead human. obviously. and a prince from the dark: i agree that is lancer. the team is: dess! sans! lancer! the new fun gang!
