It's slightly extrapolated, with some extra transitionary notes, but it's still clearly the same motif. The rhythmic pattern is even the same for each identical note.

I mean looking at the reddit post video it seems like this should be listed as a variation.
I stumbled upon a youtube comment noticing this (1, but also found 2) and I agree with it. it's literally a variation of The Holy theme #2 that's transposed 5 semitones up with a few additional notes, I guess to make the melody in this fragment of the song more interesting / reduce the feeling of "waiting" for the next note / fit the faster feel and rhythm of SoSS. idk how you can say it's accidental when it's a pretty similar pattern that uses the leitmotif.
