Also i prefer Undertale...
I love them both, SO MUCH...
But Deltarune is just so much higher quality overall that it is better than Undertale.
That doesn't stop Undertale from taking 2nd place in my favorite games tho
i love them both for different reasons so it's hard to say one is better than the other because its just like silksong is a better game than hollow knight but hollow knight was MUCH more impactful to me so i prefer hollow knight... i love deltarune more than undertale but there are some things in undertale that just can never be replicated
deltarune honestly has hit harder for me than undertale

I like both a lot.
Undertale has the bonus of being a finished story, but also the power known as 'it has the version of Alphys I like the most in it'.
True Lab is also huge/was formative for me, and there's a bit of a weird contradictory thing where despite Undertale being a shorter game, and the neutral routes outcomes being telegated to the Sans call postscript-y stuff, I find the neutral variants more compelling than violence route Deltarune materials.
I think it is likely I'll like Deltarune more once it is finished! But as it stands, it's tied.
