Don’t worry if the post never stops changing: it’s not gaslighting, you’re not the crazy one here, that’s because my mind about the leitmotifs is the same as Alphys with anime, and also because I want to be convincing and credible to newcomers.
I think the “Tenna’s leitmotif” mentioned on this page is only the first part, and that we should also count the theme that comes after as a second part. Here are the time codes for some motifs I think count as “Tenna’s leitmotif part 2”:
- And Now For Today’s Sponsors…! 0:16-0:31
- MIKE, the BOARD, please! 0:20-0:32
- Sand Board 0:20-0:25, 0:34-0:39
- Doom Board/Metaphysical Challenge 0:37-0:52 (possible variant)
- TV WORLD 0:06-0:18, 0:34-0:47, 0:48-1:00, 1:54-2:06
- It’s TV Time! 0:13-0:19, 1:58-2:06, 2:11-2:19, 2:26-2:32
Edit: I realized one part I put in “TV WORLD” was already listed under “Hip Shop“ the part I initially presented as parts of “It’s TV Time!“ are already listed under “Feature Presentation”, and so I changed them for more plausible suggestions. PokemonfanR has made good points under, and I will try to present another suggestion for a part 2 of Tenna’s leitmotif.
I don’t think any of these share a motif aside from doomboard and metaphysical challenge but that’s just because they’re the same song.
The closest one is and now for todays sponsors and tv world but both melodies are pretty different.
Personally, I think HEY EVERY! Or king of rolypoly should be counted as tenna part 2 but that’s just my opinion
Something I also want to mention real quick is that the unused song Sandy board at 1:05 sounds a LOT like MIKE, the board, please! At 0:20 wich could imply that that part of the song was originally going to be the tenna part 2 theme before being scrapped. But that’s just a theory, a “music theory” of you will.
Also now is a good time to mention that doomboard should still be added as a motif on the wiki page
As far as I’m concerned, these “parts” almost always appear together.
You have a lot of points here.
It’s true that a lot of these themes sound very different, and now you pointed it out, I realize it doesn’t make sense presented as such; at best, they can be listed under “Feature Presentation”. However, I still believe there is a “Tenna’s leitmotif part 2“ or, to be accurate, more to Tenna’s leitmotif than the short snippet mentioned on this wiki (possibly variations), but I’ll start on a more solid basis.
For the “HEY EVERY !“ leitmotif, I have no personal objections against putting it as one of Tenna’s leitmotifs, but for now, maybe we should treat it as the commerative theme of both Spamton and Tenna (at least not until more users agree to put it as one of Tenna’s leitmotifs).
Concerning the “KING OF ROLYPOLY“ motif, I wonder if it’s not yet another variation of Tenna’s theme (I would have said “HEY EVERY !”, but it has been discarded by a previous post), but if people who are better at analyzing music than I am consider it’s not, then it could be listed as a potential minor leitmotif or, let’s get crazy, as “Tenna’s leitmotif part 3”:
- KING OF ROLYPOLY 0:00-0:15, 0:23-0:39
- TV WORLD 1:40-1:45, 1:47-1:52, 1:53-1:58, 2:00-2:05
- It’s TV Time! 1:27-1:52
On the other hand, I don’t think “Doom Board“ should be considered a separate motif: I can clearly hear the notes of Tenna’s theme in it, and the fact the theme is presented as a variation is the reason I made that suggestion in the first place.
I hesitated to put the “Sandy Board“ part on the list, but if you heard it as well, then it’s fine to put it on the list.
It’s the same for Berdly’s leitmotif: the part 2 never appears without the part 1, but it’s still split in two for the sake of clarity.
Bro that doesn't have access for anyone with the link.
