Something I noticed about elements

The shadow mantle is a black, shadow related armor, and it defends against dark/star attacks (stars are associated with darkness in Deltarune which is why they're a pair)
The black shard is a piece of the Knight's darkness weapon, and it strikes the weakness of dark enemies
The sky mantle seems to be light-aligned, and it defends against electric/holy attacks (also a pair, and light-aligned)
What I realized is that, in Deltarune, elements do not counter opposite elements like in a typical RPG (light countering dark, fire countering ice)
Elements in Deltarune actually counter themselves

Actually the Blue Ribbon is the pair to the Black Shard

Wait why doesn't it just increase graze area

Ice Palace boss the Silver Drake is countered by Iceshock iirc so I guess you're right

Ooo

If you're referring to the item IDs, then the Blue Ribbon is the pair of the Black Shard, not the Twin Ribbon.

But this is unrelated to the post, which states that the Dark and Star elements are a pair, not that the Black Shard and Shadow Mantle are a pair.

Mb I never use the ribbons I forgor which one

Interesting...

This reminds me: if you open the file select menu before completing Chapter 1 and try to copy a file into itself, it'll say "IT IS IMMUNE TO ITS OWN IMAGE".

Susie Gaster mentions that we can make Susie equip the blue ribbon, color of water/prophecy, does it's author knows something that we don't? Why this theory keeps being so accurate, as if he's leaking info

what

You know Susie Gaster from chapter 5

Yeah his ch8 redemption arc was crazy

his?

Susie is female

Not Susie Gaster
Why did Chara make Onion make Tenna make Mike make you say that

Oh you're thinking of the [refresh] Susie Gaster
no that's old timeline
don't worry it makes sense in chapter 7.5 (optional btw, you need egg quest to play it)

I speculate that the balance of elements in universe of deltarune is broken.

In a way, opposite elements are mixed up. [Dark/Star] is literally a pair of darkness and light from stars, and [Elec/Holy] seems to be light-aligned, even though fountains of Darkness are Holy too.

By mixing the colors Black and White, you get Gray... Copies are monochrome, but it's also the color of obsoletion.

If you read my theories about Yaldabaoth/Demiurge, then you know that he is a copyCat who copies Gaster (Dragon)

Cats and Dragons are sort of ying-yang in Deltarune. And there's a theme going on that you can't differentiate between them, as if the Light and Dark have been mixed up into the color Gray.

This could be an explanation why the element system of deltarune works this way.

YOU WANT TO KNOW ABOUT [Cats]!? WHAT AM I, YOUR [favorite search engine]!? FINE, I'LL GIVE YOU SOME [Free tool tips and funny animations!] HAVEN'T YOU HEARD OF [elemental pairs]!?
WITH AN [Valuable item], YOU CAN DEFEND AGAINST [Puppet/Cat], OR [Thunder/Light], [Dark/Star]... JUST WATCH OUT FOR THE [$#&*] THAT USE [Death/Scythe]!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!

okey

Y'know, seeing as the actual Shadow Mantle item says it protects against Dark/Star, I don't think Spamton was Spamton-ifying those, it seems they're legit elemental pairs. Which means that element 6 is not only Cat, but also Puppet.

If someone here can correctly guess where I learned this, you win... uh... a brownie, because I'm running out of cookies to give out
