Should we have a wiki page for glitches

I think we should have a page for glitches, as Deltarune has enough glitches to justify a page, and it feels odd that there isn’t, considering other wikis like the Mario Wiki do have pages for glitches. I feel like either having separate pages for the glitches in a chapter, or one big page documenting every notable glitch across every chapter would work. I have made a user page for it, using the general page style, it is rather unfinished, but here’s at least the idea I have for it:

Also congrats on people who won the community awards.

Is the one where you can skip basically the entirety of chapter 2 with bagels the bagel overflow glitch?

Glitches would be a great article for both wikis, but I admittedly am not all that savvy on them. The only one I had discovered was the silly Glowshard glitch in Chapter 1, but I see you’ve already added it!

Yes it is, that one’s gonna be interesting to add, because of the amount of side effects and other glitches you can do with it, like making the music go away, multiple thorn rings, cutscenes the wrong way (already on the page) and way more.

Just look up a bunch of speedrunners doing a bunch of glitch explanations

I’m tempted, but I’ve been putting priority on other things. Like fixing up developer articles, character articles…

I added just the door warp effect or whatever you’d call it of bagel overflow, didn’t add the ThornRing and other stuff to it.

That’s understandable, I have my own other priority, which is the unused attacks page, but you could maybe add any glitches you do find by just playing the game, you might find at least one, that’s how I found the Invisible Queen glitch.

You don’t have to though, if you’re busy working on fixing up other articles, it’s fine.

I’m not sure. My main concern is that we might be detailing overly technical information for the regular reader. This seems like information that’s mostly useful to speedrunners, but I’m pretty sure speedrunners already have their own knowledge bases. My secondary concern is that by listing glitches that were patched out we’re mostly just repeating the Version differences page, which should already list glitches and which version they were patched out in.

Then honestly we don’t have to go into the technical side of it, just simply a list of them, how they’re triggered, and their effects without any technical stuff listed.

Also it might help anyone who encounters a glitch by accident and wants to know more about it, or figure out how they triggered it, so they can either replicate it or in the case of something like a crash, avoid it.

Also about the patched glitches, yeah honestly I agree with that, I just listed them because that’s how the Mario Wiki formats it.

And there are many non-technical glitches that are interesting, that don’t have any where good to document them.

I think there should be an official page for glitches

i am very hesitant on this page, because i have no idea how we would keep it from being absolutely huge. every single glitch? there are so many tiny glitches, mistakes, oversights in this game. a page listing off every single one seems way too broad.

First, I think we should only include glitches that currently exist. Second, only document larger or more well known glitches. Additionally, we could categorize similar small glitches into a list of where they appear to make the page (probably) smaller. That’s just my idea though, so feel free to suggest other solutions.

Not every glitch will be listed, just the notable and big glitches, and some occasional small ones, though not too much.

All of that sounds great!! But how do we make the list for minor glitches, do we make a separate section, or a table.

I think a table, although idk if that would be the right thing to do in this situation

Yeah I’m thinking a table too, as I feel it would be less clunky, but it’s still probably best to wait for more opinions. I still did put a table on the page just to see how it would look though.

I’ve actually mentioned that the Zelda Wiki uses embedded videos as well, which we could also do for more complex or audio-related glitches. ButI’m actually not quite sure how the article will look?

There’s a good chance it’s one of those articles that may need its own formatting style. Same for if its on UTW.

Yeah you might be right if there are any notable audio glitches, but to my knowledge I don’t think there’s any notable audio glitches that require embedded videos, but I’m probably wrong.

Also what different format would you think we’d need.
