Should the three Mikes have a separate article from the "real" Mike?

There’s still speculation that Mike might become an actual character in later chapters, and if that happens then there’ll be no room for this character’s info when most of the article is already full with stuff about the three Mike impersonators. And even if that doesn’t happen, I’d still argue that the three Mikes deserve an article of their own, without needing to mash it with the “real” Mike. The Mike article could have a hatnote to disambiguate to the article on the “Mikes” (in plural).

There’s not much we know about the “real” Mike, though. I feel like someone searching for Mike would most likely be looking for information related to the fake Mikes. But if we do find more information about the “real” Mike in the upcoming chapters, we should definitely consider that.

Also, the “fake” Mikes are Practically the true Mikes, since they are the ones that makes everything(acording to them) that Mike should do

Also, i’m certain Tenna thinks they are Mike, because he certainly is goofy enough to think there is only one.

They say they do some of Mike’s jobs, other things are just done by Tenna, and some of them happen for no discernible reason

Even if Mike never appears or is mentioned in Deltarune ever again, I’d still argue that separate pages should exist for the Mike impersonators, and the conceptual “real” Mike.

Whatever “Mike” is supposed to be, it exists separately from the Mike trio, and serves a different purpose in Deltarune’s narrative. “Mike”– from what we know definitively– is a label applied to assistance provided to Tenna: an enigmatic collection of events personified into a name. Meanwhile, the Mike imposters are a trio of Darkners attempting to fulfill the void of a “real” Mike, though in actuality existing through their own identities under the Mike name. So fundamentally, there exists both “Mike” as a means of identification, and “Mike” as the identity of three individuals (Mike the idea vs Mike the men, perchance).

By the way– since it seems that no final decision has been made in regards to this topic– I created an edited copy of the current Mike article solely focused on the Mike impersonators as a proof-of-concept. I don’t want to split the pages without consent from the wiki staff, but the edit is available in my sandbox for anyone interested.

I feel that, even though Mike and the fake Mikes are separate, there is so little information on the real Mike that it would be difficult to make a proper page

I suppose it could be fair enough to make somewhere for the information that does exist, though

This could also be useful for new theorists and such

I’m sure there’d be enough material to cover an entire article, even if it’d be on the shorter side. Everyman and FRIEND– for instance– have only appeared through a handful of visual cameos, though that still provides them with coverage suited for their pages.

I’m also willing to create another edited copy of the current Mike page focused on the “real” Mike, if desired.

Update: I made a second copy for the “real” Mike’s potential article which I put in my sandbox directly below the Mike impersonator concept. I’m willing to transfer these pages onto actual articles if consent is provided, alongside performing any additional work needed in regards to adjusting redirects and links to accommodate the change.

YES! DO IT!!

Valid necropost.

We didn't have individual pages for every NPC seven months ago. Now we have. The Mikes feel awkward sharing a page now.

Do they though
I feel like it...
yeah maybe have separate pages

I'm afraid the Mike article would be left without much meaningful content if we were to do this. Maybe we could wait until Mike is a confirmed separate entity?

yeah
wait
(DELTARUNE CHAPTER V RAHAHAHA)

That makes sense. We could still have separate articles for each existing Mike, though, although it would be a bit weird to figure out how to handle the "real mic".

We have whole pages for random NPCs like Milk Looker and non-existent characters like Pizzarina, these aren't an issue

They aren't an issue, but right now we don't really know if "Mike" actually exists. It'd be odd if we were left with a Mike page if Mike isn't a real character in the first place.

if

has a page........
