Should the SOUL Mode under Shadow Mantle Holder be "N/A"?

As you can see that the soul is gradually covered by the original game when it launched. And in the shadow mantle battle if you get hurt, both HERO_SWORD and Kris themselves will get hurt, decreasing their HP. So does the SOUL exactlly take part in the shadow mantle battle? Should the SOUL Mode under Shadow Mantle Holder be "N/A"?
