  6. No shipping

  9. Currently, the only language allowed is English
  10. Community votes follow a specific structure (see below)

1. Treat People With Respect

Users visiting Undertale/Deltarune Wiki Discussions are Undertale and Deltarune fans just like you, but they may come from different online communities, countries, and backgrounds. It is important to treat everyone with respect, regardless of who they are and where they came from.

You can criticize someone's opinion that you disagree with, and you can provide constructive criticism to someone's art if they asked for any. However, criticizing people, name-calling, and throwing around insults does not help anyone.

2. No Off-Topic Content

This discussion platform is about Undertale, Deltarune and their respective wikis, meaning that users come here to talk about the games, wiki articles, ask for wiki editing help, and such. Occasional meta posts are fine, but in general keep your posts related to Undertale, Deltarune, the wiki or Discussions, otherwise the primary users of this space may be annoyed with content they didn't come here for.

Stay on the topic of the post you’re on. If the topic has been resolved, or you don’t have anything to add towards its resolution, don’t say anything. This especially holds true for older posts.

3. No Low-Effort Content

Memes are fine, if posted in the memes category. However, trends that turn spammy disrupt the regular conversations and annoy other users, so try not to overdo low-effort posts. Machine-generated content (such as AI art) also falls under this rule, so please don't post it.

4. No Suggestive Content

This platform is used by teenagers, so don't post mature (sex, gore) or suggestive content.

5. No Roleplay

Our moderators don't know how, or want to, moderate roleplay, so please don't roleplay in Discussions. Here are some other places you can use for roleplay:

Note: we cannot assure quality and safety of Discord servers and websites outside of our control, so please exercise caution when joining new communities.

6. No Shipping

Shipping has proved to be a controversial topic in the past, a frequent cause of drama and the root of many arguments. Therefore, our moderators don't want to deal with any shipping discourse. You may want to discuss shipping over at r/Undertale or r/Deltarune instead.

7. Provide Credit For Art

You can post art of others in the Art category, but when doing so post the artist's handle at the very least, and preferably a link to where the artist posted their art.

8. Use The Report Button / Don't Start Drama

Did you notice someone breaking the rules, being unnecessarily rude, trolling or similar? Please use the report button to let the staff know about their behavior, and they will be dealt with. Here are examples of what you should not do:

  • Respond back to their rudeness
  • Start a witch-hunt against them
  • Make new posts calling them out

This kind of behavior instigates drama, gives the user the attention they are seeking, and doesn't help anyone. In general, don't feed the troll, and let staff deal with them.

Conversely, if the staff took moderation action against one of your posts (for example, deleted your post), feel free to inquire about it by messaging @staff. Please don't make public posts about it, because this also causes unnecessary drama.

9. English Only

Right now, this discussion platform is intended for the English Undertale and Deltarune wikis, and our moderators don't speak languages other than English and therefore can't moderate such posts.

This rule is subject to change if Undertale/Deltarune wikis in different languages move with us, and start using this platform.

10. Community Votes

If you think an established rule or standard needs changing, or think there is a need to establish a new standard that is not widely agreed upon in the community (for example, determining the term the wiki uses for the Snowgrave Route), you can start a community vote under the following conditions:

  • The goal of the vote is clearly stated in the original post, with the possible pros and cons.
  • Voters may vote by replying to the post with a clear reason stated why they are voting.
  • You may not use polls, because polls imply that users should vote using these polls and not have to state their reason in replies for their vote to be valid.

Follow The Law

By participating in Discussions, you have already agreed to Undertale/Deltarune Wiki's Terms of Service. This document defines acceptable uses of our services, and violating it by posting e.g. illegal material in Discussions may be met with termination of your account.
