In the song Mayor May Not (composed by Toby Fox) from Homestuck (webcomic frequently referenced by Toby Fox), there's a sequence of notes that sounds like the repeating melody heard in the background through all of Violet Tactics. It first appears at 2:10, repeating two measures later, and appears with a different tempo occasionally thoughout the rest of the song. A bit of very inexperienced use of music tools seems to suggest that the main difference is that Violet Tactics is in F# minor, while this motif is in E minor, but I haven't been able to verify if the rhythm is the same. It may be coincidence - the motif in question is just 5 of one note and 4 of another. Can someone with more interest and experience with these songs verify this?

I just checked the sheet music and yeah, this is a false alarm, there might still be some similarity but not enough to be notable
