They still can have their turn, but the Overworld section appears after they use it

I'm probably getting this wrong, but from what I can tell is once Kris makes their decision, the SOUL moves to the battle box and the Knight is in the battle box and attacks like they do in their game, jumping and pogoing and slashing. The knight probably has 15 seconds in their turn, if so the Knight wins.
Yeah, and they don't deal contact damage, only the Nail
OK. The Knight wins, no contest.
Knowing that the knight can beat Kris, and Kris can beat nearly any enemy (besides npcs) as much as I like Deltarune, Hollow Knight will probably win overall. Still, I think this will be fun to continue.
They fight the Knight platformer-style, then the Knight attacks normally

Oh yeah Kris probably cannot jump as high as the Knight, so the Knight can just sit on a ledge, and Kris can't reach.

Would a golden attack from Kris do 2 masks? There are plenty of 2 mask damage sources in HK.
