RC: as for the titan part of it, they have the black with white outline appearance that the titan and its spawn do and it has the same kinda glitchy/staticky effect when hit

So they're Dess's skull inside the body of an apocalyptical harbinger of calamity and death... Cool!
RC: more like infected by the primordial darkness sludge that makes up the dark fountains and titans and such

RC: the stuff that makes up fountains and titans are really potent, liquid/solid darkness, darkness that makes up the darks worlds are the gaseous residue of the dark fountains, the knight, however, is coated in liquid darkness, you could say she's covered in the water from the fountain
