Off Topic Sanctuary

well I know what the amazing digital circus is of course

Watch the short you'll understand

what the actual f-un gang

I should read the book :(

lolololol

(legieteimenly thought rocky would die at the end)
also did you know: silksong uses dies irae as main theme

Ungulate basically means hooved mammal
I really wanted a burger when I posted that, like fr I was starving

this is like nearly the worst way you could've phrased that

That book really had me going "Oh, they figured it out! OH no something went wrong again and they're all gonna die, No wait they figured it out everyone's fine, wait nevermind we're cooked again," ect ect

accurate lol
I'll try get it soon

btw if you suggest watching a movie before the book is a bad idea
it worked with H2G2 so

always read the books before watching the movies especially with Bad Guys and How to train your Dragon

Yes but have you considered that: some people would rather have visual representation than reading a line, forgetting you read it, reading it again, rinse and repeat until you finally finish the book clocking in at 1 month of reading time?

Real but like
A book can have a lot of details that a movie can't due to its ~1-2 hour runtime
I didn't see any Tom Bombadil in the LotR movies

Yeah that’s the only downside

Budget and also no one wants to watch a five hour movie with every little detail from the books

It’s good to just summarize

But I’d think Tom is a pretty relevant character

Also the phm movie left out a lot of scientific details that are crucial to understanding things later in the story, as well as some of grace's character details

Yeah that’s stupid movie adaptations should be a visual summarization, not just someone skimming through the book

yeah but sometimes the movies are not even the same plot as the books like How to train your dragon's entire premise got ruined and it's sad

But I liked the movie

I deleted the entire discussion since the necropost, not specifically your comments, because it didn’t seem like that was worth the necropost.

I'm not saying the movie wasn't bad. I'm just saying it's WILDLY different from the book in a lot of important aspects.
