...This is only partially a joke thread. I think the fact that we have to shape its mind implies there's some mind in there TO shape in the first place, and the fact that we are told that the vessel we make 'will not hear' what we feel about it, AND THEN IT GETS DISCARDED???

Does it know we didn't want it to discard it? Probably not.

I feel like 'the vessel either really doesn't know how we felt about it before being discarded OR that was a lie and it did get 'yeah the player loves you!' only to get discarded only minutes to seconds later is such an obvious setup for payoff later on it haunts me a lot.

I think even if the truth of the matter is Kressel (the entire 'colored in with care' / 'kris Is vessel' stuff, which I personally am very very mixed on in terms of narrative stuff/what that means Overall) was real this has like. Ramifications For Narrative Later considering the gifts given/mind shaping/ the fact we can gift our funny goner character VOICE, a term that both has 'haha funny voice clips' implications but ALSO in weird route the phrase 'the voice runs out eventually' coming up.

I think the 'will now be discarded' line makes me disbelieve that to some degree but! I think even within that idea the 'yeah hello my beautiful vessel who does not know the circumstances of being frozen/thrown in storage right after being made, I need you real quick' still is going to have some rammies (ramifications.).
