PLEASE NOTE: This is all my very humble and likely incorrect opinion. Take my opinion, that of a random guy on the internet, with a grain of salt, and please, please provide constructive criticism if you think I need it.
In june, I made a post regarding theory making that ended up boiling down to "Stop having fun". The people who saw it didn't like it. I'm here again to... I think "double down" is the only way I can describe it, as narcissistic as it might sound — and provide a better reason than "it's annoying and will probably be wrong".
The thing is, it's very likely that the reason chapter 5 was supposed to be released with 3 and 4 was because the story would come together better. It seems that it is very well off, and likely will release sometime before winter 2026. If Toby wasn't confident that it would be released in 2026, he probably wouldn't put the release year right in the credits.
So, I believe that at most, we will have to wait until next fall before chapter 5 is released.
At this time, I don't think we should theorize. I think that we should lay out our evidence, and see what connects and what doesn't. We shouldn't look ahead, we should look at what we have.
I think it's highly likely that most of our questions will be answered with chapter five, and, circling back, is the reason that Toby wanted to release it with the other two.
Another note: From here, the post doesn't quite make sense unless you saw the original one. I won't link to the original, as I acted like an ass in that one, and I don't want people who haven't seen it to see it now. This part is an apology to whoever I angered with it.
Regarding the original post
Now... regarding my hate for theories and theorists... I think my perception has been warped by the big YouTube personalities.
Like. No. You do not know the entire goddamn plot of chapter 5. Did we not learn our lessons from how confidently incorrect the whole community was going into chapter 3?
Again, my hate should've been directed to YouTube, not to the community. I apologize. You all caught strays from my hatred.
Now, I feel like this might end up sounding worse than the original post, because, as I write this, I realize that I might just sound self centered. However, I write this to get a point across, and I did not want to make it without putting the issue to rest.
