Knight's Relation To Communion

In Chapter 2, Spamton’s shop has the choice to ask him about communion. If selected, he responds with “SPEAKING OF [[Communion]] KRIS, DID YOU KNOW THAT THE KNIGHT...” before cutting off and paraphrasing Burgerpants.

We know that Kris is extremely likely to be working with the Knight, as they are knighted in Chapter 3 and in Chapter 4, if you actually run up to Knight; they won't do anything.

We know that Carol is very likely to be the one talking to Kris over the phone during Chapter 4, she gets off early from work and proceeds to take Dess’ guitar from Susie .

The word communion has three definitions according to Oxford Languages, these three being:

  1. The sharing or exchanging of intimate thoughts and feelings, especially when the exchange is on a mental or spiritual level.
  2. The service of Christian worship at which bread and wine are consecrated and shared.
  3. A relationship of recognition and acceptance between Christian churches or denominations, or between individual Christians or Christian communities and a church (signified by a willingness to give or receive the Eucharist).

The obvious thing we should all realize is that it's heavily related to Christianity. A religion that the Hometown one is very close to.

Now, the Knight being related to church is in no way a surprise. Just about everyone in Hometown is related to the church. But, this aligns with the Deltarune Symbol on the Bunker door. This could mean that there is nothing more to this than church relation.

But… it can also be a relationship of recognition and acceptance between individual Christians. This adds fuel to the fire of multiple Knights. Or… this means that the Knight is of a different religion than the Prophecy. This explains their “villainous actions”. This could also be stating that Kris is of a different religion, with the Knight accepting it and that's why the two are allied.

Kris might not believe in the Prophecy. Though this doesn't give very much to back up why they work with each other. Because the Knight accepts the weird child? I can't explain that one from communion.

If we go based on the first definition, the Knight might know of our existence. The SOUL. They are going to rid Kris of us. Give them that [Sweet, Sweet] [Freedom Sauce] they want.

That's just my thoughts based on the definition of communion,

WHAT DO YOU TWO THINK?

I’ve guessed it’s something like “DID YOU KNOW THAT THE KNIGHT MADE A CONNECTION WITH A HIGHER POWER?” and it has to do with Gaster or something

I doubt that Kris doesn’t believe in the prophecy, since they go to church, and, more importantly, the prophecy predicted the things they’re currently experiencing. Additionally, I see the knight as having a primary goal of making the prophecy come true, although this would be likely due to the knight’s will being bent to Gaster’s, not due to who Dess was in the past.

Most sane theorist.

I think this guy forgot :papyrus: someone.
