some ancient civilisation that progressed REALly FAR in technology and made a bunch of robots, then some mysterious force came and caused the Desperation, which made it so after infected robots died they came back alive, but weaker and under the control of the Desperation, which made them attack stuff and be desperate all the time even when they were well-off. This made the civilisation decline and stuff and most of the people left to go spawn other civilisations, but there's one group still left, led by a guy called the Captain — mid-life, wears a bunch of armor that makes him look like that one ship captain from that one movie.
You'd play as a blue robot guy from another civilisation and you were part of an expedition to explore this area, but the ship got attacked and the rest of the crew is either dead or in hibernation (they're also robots) and you have to do stuff
gimmicks include gliding downwards, allowing airborne gameplay, little fin-like blades that come out of your arms that serve for weaponry and gliding, probably climbing, etc.
