I completely forgot to mention this on my intro page, but I actually was very briefly editing (like. extremely briefly.) on the uh, Old Wiki (before this split off from wikia) literally years back now (like... 2018 I think?) , and I remember getting in debates about Knight candidates back then and I remember that the Controversial Knight Opinion that people bit you for way back when was Vessel Knight (because a lot of people thought Kris was the knight. I also remember the brief period of time where people were claiming Frisk knight but that's only slightly relevant).
So, point being: does anyone remember Vessel Knight, or am I Gerson-ing it by remembering this.

funny enough the poll i got this old response of mine from was specifically about if the Knight was the Vessel, Gaster, or a third person, so that tracks.
Vessel Knight has always been pretty popular, but I think it hit it's spike in popularity during the Chapter 2 days

I just think it's interesting because it would evoke the Mother 3 motif in a cool way, and the entire 'machine to thrash your ass' being thrown away only to come back up later would be really funny foreshadowing for it. :')
My other angle is I think it would be extremely funny if the 'It's my hummingbird!' voice line Toby mentioned his sibling wanting to be in the game was the first VOICE line theoretical 'Vessel from someone who gifted VOICE' ever said:
We will never be free of jaronas...

I also think it would be conceptually interesting to like, quadruple down on a narrative structure of 'even a character who you've customized to some degree isn't 1:1 The Player'.
Yep, but the twisted sword needs something, and it’s most likely the vessel.(Somehow finding a thorn Ring substitute). But it having a mind of its own makes perfect sense, since even the perfect body has been Seperated from you by medium of the game. Still think the Soul is the angel and that all the uses of It are intentional for the Vessel and Soul instead of being objectifying. Because in Undertale you got to be an entity that helps the Angel themself come to pass, while in Deltarune you seal the angel’s fate via being it.
Also Every time I point out that the pronoun scheme for the angel matches a certain demon people get angry. When I just think that coincidence is 100% Intentional with the Soul’s Possible actions.
