My idea is that because dark worlds are illusions, to the Fun Gang, they are facing an absurdly strong watercooler, but if this illusion was removed and only the fun gang can see it, it would just be like kids role playing, like this:

[Susie] Ralsei’s down! We gotta revive him!

(even more pretending to be attacked)
[Ralsei] Behold, Heal Prayer!
(Kris and Susie continue whacking the glass of water relentlessly and it breaks)

Like in a previous post, I believe Berdly survived snowgrave and didn’t become frozen chicken, he got a massive dose of placebo, the imagined pain of being frozen put him into a coma
