What if the shadow mantle gets turned into the unused sky mantle in a later chapter, and we used it to battle like the angel or something with holy, idk, just a random idea I had, not sure about angel part, but what if it becomes sky mantle. Then again, it could just end staying unused.

It'd be neat, but hear me out: Seam purifies the 5 shadow crystals, makes the pure crystal, and gives us the choice of making it into a weapon (TwistedSwrd) or armour (SkyMantle)

You can’t get it unless you have the thorn ring, so there would be only one option under normal circumstances
Would the idea be that this intentionally highlights the weird route?
I saw a theory from a YouTuber (Goldpro I think?) that the JusticeAxe, BlackShard, and the scarf we'll likely get in Ch. 5, will be fusable... but highlighting the weird route works so much better! Path of violence versus the path of Defence! And if you lose any recruits and don't do weird route, you get neither, since you were violent, but did not gain any special powers from it.
The Route to get the Shadow Mantle literally tells you how to complete Weird Route.
I think it's fairly obvious that one would know of the Weird Route by then.
I don’t think a normal player would immediately understand the weird route after getting the shadow mantle and then go do it, not that that’s a big problem, and I don’t think it’s reasonable to be condescending about this
Yeah, I think most people would search for answers after completing the sword route. It leaves a lot of questions, and I'm sure that we gained a lot of community members, purely because they wanted to know more about the sword route.
