Do you remember that scene from Soulless Pacifist where Frisk transforms into Chara? The same thing happens at the end of Genocide Route, but without the special effects, thats why frisk is nowhere to be seen at the end
Chara is using Frisk's body to talk to the player.
In Deltarune? Because i don't remember any dialogue like that on Genoslides[1]

However the theory is incredibly nice Did you know that the strength necessary for one to do that much 999 dmg is enough to open a black hole the size of the universe?
I'M A LARPER LALALA I ONLY WATCHED PLAYTHROUGHS ↩︎
Chara seems to have semi-possession, true, but I don't think Chara is using Frisk as a vessel, because...well, where did the shirt come from
still though, even though I'm leaning away from it, this would actually explain some stuff, like how exactly Chara could manifest.
sorta off topic, but I have the legends of localization book on Undertale, and in the conclusion, Clyde "Tomato" Mandelin says three is an important number in Undertale. one of the examples he includes is "three entities vying for control of frisk's body."
Clyde knows something we don't.
Also, it's implied he banished Gaster to the Tomato Dimension.
could it potentially be that frisk actually does hate the soul but has lived a bad human life of needing to suppress their true feelings to the world around them and are applying that logic to the soul, aside from mandatory things like not liking soda or not being able to count to 10, making them the third entity wanting control over their body!? /hj
