Reload a save before starting The Legend of Tenna. If you don't have one, restart the chapter, the stuff up 'til then is short. Keep loading that save if you continue to not get S. Good luck!
Buy an S Rank from the Pippins in the room outside the green room or get a Z rank to get access to the backstage
But last one isnt that necessary, you have to play awfully

I recommend learning the quiz answers and getting all the optional items (extra key on the first board + extra photo and eating moss on the second board). This significantly increases your chances.
P.S. Also the secret lawnmower minigame on an island on the second board.
have you considered trying to get a z rank instead of an s rank?
yeah, just do as horrible as possible. like, try not to do good in battles, (Maybe die a few times to shuttah?) then just don't press anything in the concert
