To make a long story short(er), chapter 3's secrets were so confusing that I have two completed pacifist saves for it. One where I defeated the chapter's secret boss (slot 3), and the other where I didn't but obtained the egg (slot 2)
After finding out that I COULD transfer shadow crystals to other saves, I intended to replay chapter 4, only I now had 3 eggs... Except it didn't work, the crystal wasn't there
If anyone can help explain what I'd need to do to have both the crystal and 3 eggs on the same file, it would be greatly appreciated! I came here for solutions and I really don't wanna replay both chapters again ;-; Ty!
I could be wrong but I think the Shadow Mantle and chapter 3 egg are mutually exclusive. So, if you want to have both, you have to beat the Knight without obtaining the Mantle.
They are not mutually exclusive, unless you save after getting the shadow mantle and not having gotten the egg. Do the Sword Route up until TV World, then do the egg quest. Once the egg quest is done, finish off the Sword Route by ANNIHILATING the Shadow Mantle/Holder, and now you have egg and mantle together. No Egg Mantle though. That comes in Chapter 6.
Oh rlly? Is it possible to get with Zapper and Ribbick lost? If so, I'm re-loading my Weird Route SAVE of chapter 3 and acquiring the egg. Not BEATING the Knight again though, since I can just fetch the Shadow Crystal and Black Shard from Castle Town. Unless I can't get it after beating Tenna. In which case my Weird Route SAVE is forever cursed to be missing (at least) 2 eggs (until I likely remake it when more chapters come out)
