If your gonna give spoilers at least try to minimize the spoiler, as I have not played Chapters 3 nor 4
Uhh
Yeah you could say that
Like is it confirmed that there's one knight?
Or do we still not know?
It’s pretty confirmed
And it’s not Kris
I'm aware he's the final boss of the 3rd chapter, but is there like dialogue stating they are the only Knight or something like that?
Oh okay
I mean
No but there’s the fact that (S)HE’S THE ROARING KNIGHT
Ok I guess it's been debunked then
yeah it has been debunked but going more into details is spoiler territory imo
Chapter 4 spoilers inside
Depends on how we define multiple knight theory. Yes, there is one entity called the Roaring Knight. So the idea that it’s just a title to whoever opened the corresponding darkness, and that every chapter has its own Knight is in fact debunked. But it’s all but confirmed that Kris is working with the Knight, and that opening the TV Fountain is part of the plan, since the Roaring Knight is the one that approached Tenna and brought this Dark World’s plan into motion, despite Kris being the one who actually opened the fountain. I’m making Kris an honorary second Knight, They’re conspiring with each other. The Roaring Knight does not act alone. (I’m nicknaming Kris as “The Quiet Knight”, or “Silent Knight”, or really some kind of antonym of “Roaring”.)
Also when you successfully defeat the roaring knight, she “knights” Kris
Spoiler
The "Knight" who approached Tenna is likely Kris. That's what our brief encounter with him in the Shadow Mantle minigame implies:
K... Kris! Kris, I didn't see you there! I... I did what you said, Kris! Ha... Just like our deal! Y-You aren't going to turn me off again, are you...?
Spoiler
Mini-Kris made a deal with Mini-Tenna. Tenna refers to the Knight in third-person when talking to the Fun Gang, including Kris, so even if Kris is somehow the Knight, Tenna doesn’t know that. Which means Mini-Tenna’s deal with Mini-Kris is not evidence of Tenna making a deal with Kris. Tenna does not recognize Kris as the Knight. So far everything points to the Roaring Knight being the one in question. They show up when Tenna fails to keep the Fun Gang busy.
Spoiler
The second time we play the original game, we can find Tenna under the Tropic of Love. There, he admits to making the game based on "this stupid old thing". Not to mention everything he says about Spantom before we confront him. He's referring to real events.
Tenna refers to the Knight in the third person to hide it from the rest of the Fun Gang.
Spoiler
The “stupid old thing” is the version in the backstage room. Ramb says the one in the backstage is the “original” version of the game, that’s how we’re told about the backstage game in the first place. THAT is the “stupid old thing” Tenna based his show off of.
Spoiler
Exactly! He calls the very game he's on "this stupid old thing", and claims he made another game out of it.
I think I was unclear before. I'll try again.
In the second iteration of the original game, you're supposed to take the raft north towards the Ice Palace. But before doing that, you can go all the way back to the Tropic of Love. There, you can slash a tree to reveal a hidden staircase. If you go down, you'll see Tenna in a identical corridor to the one we see in the third iteration of the original game. We can't get to him, but we can overhear him saying:
PHEW! FINALLY, SOME PEACE AND QUIET!
... I WONDER IF THEY EVEN LIKE THE GAME...?
I'M TRYING MY BEST TO MAKE IT FUN, BUT...
HERE AND THERE, STRANGE THINGS ARE SHOWING THROUGH...
OH, WHY DID I BASE IT OFF THIS STUPID OLD THING!!
... KRIS, OH, KRIS
IF YOU COULD JUST SMILE... LAUGH...
TELL ME I'M DOING SOMETHING RIGHT...
PLEASE...
"THIS STUPID OLD THING" is the original game (the very one we're playing at that moment). The game we play in the game show was made by Tenna, based on the original. Here we have 8-Bit Tenna, talking about something real Tenna did as if he was the one to do it.
Spoiler
Specifically, the game that we play with Susie and Ralsei. The boards. He took the original game (one based off of Dragon Blazers, I’d even say it’s the Dark World counterpart of Dragon Blazers) and turned it into The Legend of Tenna.
So, I was going to say it can’t be the same person, but we do find out it’s possible to go in and out of the game after beating the boss that IS the Shadow Mantle if the file name is to be believed, Although doing that doesn’t translate you into an 8-bit form, or away from an 8-bit form, so they are in fact different characters, I would have said 8-bit Tenna might be making a hypothetical 4-bit gameshow off of a hypothetical 4-bit Dragon Blazers, since how can you be making the very thing you are in (But this is someone who worked on Homestuck, so, maybe I shouldn’t rule out these kinds of paradoxes lol, also Undertale exists in Undertale).
I was going to ask why he first refers to Kris directly as Kris and not the Knight here, while then calling the Knight their own thing later on, but it seems the Fun Gang aren’t there in the Island of Love, but are there the only times 3D Tenna mentions the Knight.
I would still like to ask, why does the Roaring Knight choose exactly when Tenna failed Kris’ deal to slay Tenna? Why doesn’t Kris do anything? Shouldn’t Kris see a problem with Tenna failing? Why doesn’t Kris do something during any of the times it looked like the show was over to prolong it? I imagined under the theory that the Roaring Knight was always C3 secret boss, The Knight just didn’t tell Kris that specific deal, so Kris was clueless, But if Kris was the one who made the deal with Tenna… That doesn’t make any sense. If I were Kris, and the Knight at the same time (and therefore want the Fun gang to be kept busy), then when Tenna announced the bonus round, I’d have signed the whole Fun Gang up for it before the talk about sealing the fountain progresses enough to get it cancelled. (Probably by posing or something assuming I can’t actually talk and SAY I’m in for the bonus round because of the soul)
Spoiler
I was thinking more on the lines of "Tenna is playing the game as well". He doesn't need a controller to do that. We see him do it with Board 3.
I would still like to ask, why does the Roaring Knight choose exactly when Tenna failed Kris’ deal to slay Tenna?
I don't think they chose when to strike him. They just struck him the moment they got there. "THE LORD OF SCREENS CLEAVED RED BY BLADE" was already written in the Prophecy, which the Knight presumably already knew.
We keep saying Tenna's job was to "keep the heroes busy", but to what end? I think it was just to buy time until the Knight got there. And once they did, they didn't need him anymore.

There's nothing that they could have done. They can't act freely under the Soul's influence, at least when it comes to defying the Soul's will.
And even if they could make gestures during Board 3, the other two just wouldn't go with it. Susie surely would have been weirded out.
Just say "They".
I love necroposting too
Silent Knight is a pun, so use that
