We own the fandom and indie wikis of both DR and UT, and yet Fandom is using these stupid rules against us.
Frick you Fandom.
We need people to know that Undertale and Deltarune Wikis have forked from Fandom.
And yet, the staff won't let us because a stupid staff member by the name of Pikushi, has removed the forking banner from BOTH WIKIS.

I mean, it's not all that surprising that the massive greedy company implements greedy policies to maximize ad revenue. It's definitely manipulative and clearly prioritizes profit over quality content, but unfortunately there's not a whole lot we can do as individuals to prevent it. What I will say is that more and more Wikis are moving away from Fandom, and no matter how much they try to suppress and hide it, it will hurt them in the long run. Here's hoping there will come a day when no one uses it anymore.

I agree that Fandom's policy is greedy and actively harmful to users and editors, but I don't see the point of dwelling on it at this point. The Minecraft Wiki forked about a year ago and has been really successful, so let's just focus on improving this Wiki instead of dwelling on the old one.
To be fair, multiple users have broken most of these rules. Not saying its you guys, but a bunch of people have been steadfastly destroying the FANDOM wiki.
Yes, you're independent, but FANDOM knows what stuff like this often entails. Look at it this way. It's not to increase there revenue, it's to protect the people who stayed behind.
Don't get me wrong, placing rules like this is still wrong(ish), but you have to understand it's within reason.
I don't hate FANDOM, but I also don't hate independent wikis. I just think it'd be better if you stopped steadfastly hating FANDOM and just coexist. Google and Bing have coexisted and they're both used widely.
It is to increase ad revenue. If they actually cared about providing quality content to readers they would allow Wikis to be taken down when the vast majority of users decide to move. Fandom is a huge company and unfortunately they do prioritize profit. Consider especially that Fandom used to allow forked Wiki to advertise on the home page for 2 weeks and removed that because too many Wikis were forking successfully. Anyway, I'm not here to start an argument but it wouldn't hurt to think of Fandom as a company: they make profitable decisions, not moral ones.
