Both are instances of the fandom latching onto a random song Toby made that was totally unrelated to UT/DR and assuming it totally was related.
The main difference is that Woody Theory had a clear origin and was a theory about a future chapter, while I’m not sure how Megalo Strike Back became associated with Chara. I think it was just that someone used it in a fan animation or something and it spread.
