Elegant Entrance contains GLACEIR

Pretty sure Elegant Entrance contains an direct citation to GLACEIR at ~0:44. And I don't think it's like "ATTACK OF THE KILLER QUEEN CONTAINS THE GASTER MOTIF!!!" even because everyone knows that the Ice Palace is supposed to mirror/parody Chapter's 2 Snowgrave Route or whatever is in the other side of the Lake.

It’s been a while since I watched it but I’m pretty sure This video goes somewhat into detail about the possible glaceir motif in elegant entrance

Personally I’m pretty split on if it’s intentional or not though

I looked up in the music sheet and it looks like literally ALL of the music is referencing GLACEIR but it only turns into a direct quote in 0:43

That's an VERY, VERY INTERESTING THEORY. Like, Queen and her Mansion actually represents an "less evil" version of Carol? Like, that's crazy stuff, but somehow it makes so much sense now. But poor guy they really was't prepared for Chapter's 5 Weird Route, lmao. Also Pandora Palace also containing the motif kinda makes all this more scary...

I’m the author of the video that was mentioned here. I wanted to add a couple notes that, to me, lend to the credibility of this quote.

  1. Contextually: Since Queen is clearly a Carol parallel, Queen’s mansion might have a Carolian equivalent. That would most likely be Holiday Manor, which is strongly linked to the Ice Palace. Dess’s room has walls that look like the Northern Lights (GO TO NORTHERNLIGHT) and a guitar with a shelter code (Shelter Key) in it. Ice Palace is where GLACEIR plays.
  2. Even though the quote is especially strong at certain points, to the point of having the exact same intervals for a little bit, some variant of the motif persists in the background for literally the entirety of Elegant Entrance.
  3. There are parts of Elegant Entrance where Queen’s motif just lingers on a note for a couple seconds, leaving the GLACEIR background melody exposed with nothing else playing to drown it out. You’re supposed to notice that it’s there.
  4. The quote in Pandora Palace is also intentional, in my opinion. Even though it’s never as exact in terms of intervals as Elegant Entrance, that specific part of Pandora Palace is just a remix of Elegant Entrance. It’s an adaptation of the same pattern.
