Ranting because this right here just makes me so mad.

The eggs ARE leading to somewhere, and I’m going to rant about why.

  1. The eggs are items with no beneficial effects, yet you can get one in every chapter. This isn’t an insignificant gag like the dead pixel, considering it’s giving you an physical item, like a Shadowcrystal.
  2. The eggs are giving you actual lore now in the rooms you obtain them in. Notice how said lore is specifically tied to Kris. This further shows it’s not just a gag.
  3. In the Chapter 3 egg room, the man tells you where you can find him in the following chapters. Even the game itself wants you to keep looking for these eggs.
  4. Notice the atmosphere in the egg room. It’s not at all lighthearted or funny when you enter. In Chapters 3+4 it’s even a bit serious, something unlike Toby’s other gags.

I can’t say what the eggs are leading up to, but I’m confident it’s something.
