Okay, MK2 has all required functions. I'll start work on MK3. I know It seems like I'm rushing this, but I set a timeline, and I intend to follow it.
Here it is.
Okay, the next task is making blocks that can be destroyed, a basic animation for swinging a sword (or at least an indicator), keybinds to swing said sword, and just miscellaneous little tiles. I also want a way to have multiple areas, accessible through a sort of select screen.
It will be hard, but I would like to at least try it on my own first (the power of ego compels me.)
Nah that clone code is exactly what it should be for something as simple as it is rn
It can be made more complicated later if you need more functions, but it’s good rn
Currently trying to find a way to swap an area, along with destroying the old collision boxes and generating new ones.
There is a block that can be used for that - delete this clone (found with the other clone-related blocks)
How do I use it? It ends a line of code, so I can't tell where to put it.
Wait, think I'm figuring it out...
Here’s a tip for that; do this:
If <a=a> then
Delete this clone
Gonna release devlog 3 when I finally get area switching down
FINALLY! I had to move some code to the backdrop code area, but it finally all works! Now I just need to change some things around.
There we go! It often does not initially work, but after a few switches, it works consistently.
It still needs consistency, though.
Consistency has been implemented. Now for some proper action.
Changing the devlog drop to when I have a destroyable tile and sword swinging action+indicator.
LET HE/HIM COOK.
I actually understand a surprising amount of this because of my own experience (thank you Scratch Clone)
@Xanderjedi11 Thanks for being considerate with your words there, for future reference, I use he/him pronouns
Ok, new Devlog here: hehehehasophgsidfjiodsfjpaf
Oi, I just followed u on Scratch, one I get the chance I'll help if I can since I like both Scratch and helping people :)
@Timpaw21 Here's the most recent Devlog, It's got more info
