No I was responding to this.
Sans is still among, if not THE, the hardest fights in Undertale, and you HAVE to defeat him in order to progress the No Mercy Route.
Heck, even Asriel Dreemurr. Sure, you don’t technically lose, but it still sets your progress back two turns with unfair attack patterns that can deplete your HP in just one.
I think a clear line should be drawn between nerfing the boss and buffing the player.
I can agree that Toby will give us something to help beat the Knight, but that’s not the Knight becoming “weaker”. Just us becoming stronger.
What's this supposed to mean…?
I think he meant to type Undertale lol
@DracoBaltoy_II You're not meant to do Genocide, we're discounting it from "mandatory hard boss"
Hot take: Not doing Genocide is essentially just beating half of the game. If you weren't meant to do it, it wouldn't be in the game, and the two best bosses wouldn't be in it
Two hardest? Sure. Two best? Highly subjective.
Also, Genocide has less game play than the other two routes BY THEMSELVES???
Geno is the driest route, and surprisingly, hot take, neutral is the most content-filled route, purely due to all the possible flags that set off all the diffirent endings.
Honestly true. There’s a lot of things you can do in neutral.
@Remex_Remige as of now, you’re the only person who said no. I’m curious to know why.
97 different possible endings is pretty crazy, and they are all underrated, especially the Alphys ending
Trying to get leaderless and dog endings rn
If you kill a leader candidates, the goofy dog endings plays, if you kill extra monsters on top of that, you get the incredibly dark leaderless ending. What a contrast.
The real is getting the dirty hacker ending without… well, hacking.
How's that possible? Is it even?
There should be an ‘other’ button.
I consider genocide to be optional, whereas pacifist is the “true ending” of sorts, although I definitely should have been more clear about that. Although, at that rate, all the secret bosses would be considered required too, since getting the shadow crystals seems to have some goal to it.
I don't have any reasoning behind it. I don't think we will be fighting the Knight again after Chapter 3, but that's just a feeling.
Yes. The fight in Chapter 3 is almost intended for you to lose because even if you lost every enemy, the attacks are still insane. By Chapter 6 or 7 you'll have high enough stats that you can beat Rory Nite in at least 4 attempts. And it's probably going to be nerfed because Toby is not a jerk. At least, not unless you commit genocide route.
