The connection is that something introduced in each chapter references a Despicable Me villain.
- Chapter 1: There is a soundtrack titled "Scarlet Forest", which alludes to Scarlet Overkill, the main villain of the spin-off movie Minions.
- Chapter 2: There a disco hanging from the ceiling of the dojo in Castle Town, which alludes to Belle "Donna Disco" Bottom, the main villain of the spin-off sequel Minions: The Rise of Gru. Even though the Chapter was released before the movie itself, it was still in production when the first trailer for Minions: The Rise of Gru was released in February 2020.
- Chapter 3: The item Tension Max, of course, alludes to Maxime Le Mal, the main villain of Despicable Me 4. "Max" is a nickname for names like "Maxime".
- Chapter 4: The enemy Balthizard, obviously, alludes to Balthazar Bratt, the main villain of Despicable Me 3.
- If the theory continues, then Chapter 5 will allude to El Macho from Despicable Me 2, while Chapter 6 will allude to Vector from the original Despicable Me movie. Similarly, Chapter 7, on the other hand, will allude to the main villain of Minions 3 which is upcoming and to be released in July 2026. The order of references in every chapter is the spin-off series in order, then the movies in the main series in reversed order, and finally the upcoming Minions 3. How do you guys think?
