echidna is 'the mother of all monsters' in greek mythology also (and what homestuck is referencing), so i'm always surprised that aspect isn't discussed super much re: Enemy/Echidna

there's a really good proper theory post on echidna elseways that i can't link because it uses images of greek mythology echidna that are a nakie that points out that the deltarune playing cards have a snakeskin pattern on the back a little.
this also is missing something that's SUPER important :

known quantities come up in a lot of debug stuff, but KNOWN QUANTITY 1 is the name Enemy shows up as.

Can someone explain to me who the heck this Echidna is? I've seen this name a few times in deltarune discussions in steam forums and YouTube
