DRRING! DRRING! Gumball jumped out of bed and looked at his alarm clock. He was late! “ * OH DAMN!” Out of anger, he threw the alarm clock out of the window, then threw on some clothes and sprinted out of the door of his dorm, down the stairs of the block, and into the streets, where he saw his bus about to leave. Then, he saw a rock nearby. Not thinking, he threw it at the bus, and it made a thorough dent, thankfully enough to stop the driver. He got into the bus and sat down heavily. “ * PHEW! Oh, god… the next bus to Elmore was in two hours! * If I missed this one… ahh, god. * I have to be there real early. I’m visiting the school with Anais. * I wonder how much it’s changed.” But as Gumball sat there, a mysterious entity entered the bus as it was about to leave. Completely invisible, it searched through the bus until it found Gumball. It fully enveloped him, making his eyes flash red. He went rigid. Until he could find a window, he was a prisoner in his own body. There was nothing he could do. Absolutely, nothing.
The bus stopped at its given place. Gumball slowly got out. The town was still quite the hustle and bustle. There was no time to stop and look around. He sprinted through the crossing, ran down the roads, and finally got to the quieter part of the neighbourhood, in front of the school, where Anais stood. She had gotten taller, and was wearing a blazer and a skirt. “ * The school enforces uniforms now?” Gumball said, grabbing a point in which to speak. “ * No hello? Rude as always, brother. * Your starter mustache doesn’t save you from being nice, ya know!” Anais said, with a grin. Together, they walked into school.
“ * We’ve got a free period before anything, so feel free to explore!” Anais said, looking cheery. The player first lead Gumball and Anais into the unisex bathroom, and selected the sink. The two washed their hands. Then, the player checked the stalls. All were empty, save one. When the pair even got close to it, a long, slow, mournful sound came from it. The player and Anais got out of there before the thing could be revealed. After, the player checked the hallways, which were empty, save for a few people; Tina, a small triangular figure, and a person that looked like scissors. We go to Tina first, who says “ * Gumball! Nice to see you again! * I got held back a few times for eating my teachers. * But not to worry! I’ll be out of here before you can say jemmy-jam!” The small triangular figure is next. “ * Wow... so you're Gumball! * The legendary who fought his way through oppressive teachers, bullies, and innocents. * Gotta say, you're a lot seedier than I thought you would be." Finally, the scissors. " * Can you tell? I just got cleaned! *I'm not stainless steel. Those guys are new-gens! * I'm just Jim the Steel Scissors! No stainless! * I'm going to head to the sauna after school! Hope nothing bad happens!" You don't have the heart to tell him. You move to the next part of hallway, where there's stairs and a singular door. " * That's my class!" Anais says. " * The free period's over, and I don't wanna be late!" The two head inside.
Inside the class, there's a whale taking up three seats, a green guy with spiky hair that's impaled the seat in front of him, a robot behind that guy that's dodging his every movement, and three empty seats. The two take the empty seats, and the one left empty is taken by the teacher... Rocky?! " * Hiya, kids! I'm your new substitute. * However, it seems we're quite short-supplied. * Gumball, Anais, could you please go to the Staff Room? I left my pencil case there." Anais sighs, and they both get up. " * Rocky only recently got promoted. He's pretty forgetful." She laments as they leave the class. " * But I stole one of the staff room keys on my first day. * Let's go!" The player jogs forward quickly and inserts the key. But when they twist it and open the door, they fall into a large vortex, that sucks Anais in too.
As they fall, their clothes change. Gumball goes from his old red jacket, a white shirt and jeans, to a valiant knight's outfit with remnants of his jacket and shirt trailing behind, and Anais goes from her quaint blazer and skirt to a slightly tight pink and orange kimono that's tied by a black belt. They land on their limbs with a thud. " * Uhh... Gumball, where are we? And what happened to our clothes?" Anais woozily asks. The player guides Gumball to shrug. " * A shrug isn't good enough. We need to get back to class, and find out what happened to the staff room." The two walk down a teal grass path. As they walk, things come into view. A castle with a huge beam shooting out of it, empty houses surrounding it, and a pitch black sky. When Gumball and Anais got to the castle, they saw a hooded figure standing there. The player makes Gumball raise their sword, and say " * Show yourself, stranger." The person turns around and removes their hood. Gumball audibly gasped, not the player, him. Anais was shocked as well. It was... their childhood pet, Darwin, enlarged and with limbs. " * Gumball. Anais. Welcome."
